Jayseph101 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2013 Posted Yesterday, 04:11 AMHey guys I have a question about skates, I've got a pair of Easton's I've had for a long time. For a while now my Easton's are giving me lace bite because the boot is too shallow for my foot. I've read that Reebok and Graf boots run deep. My main question is out of the 2 which brand would you guys recommend?I just started playing a little over a year ago, but my skates, I bought them bout 9 years ago. My friends and I bought up gear then got laid-off so they sat in the box for years. I thinks it's time for a new pair, but not sure which brand to buy?I just started playing for a summer league and in I'll at in the winter season too.I skate about 3 times a week, 1 game and then stick n puck the rest. Buzz_LightBeer 975 Report post Posted July 14, 2013 Do you have wide feet as well? My foot is wide and deep and Graf 709's are the boot for me. What model Easton are you in now?
romdj 26 Report post Posted July 14, 2013 Imho:Bauer: Cannot not mention them, they're the market leaderEaston: you may want to reevaluate as their 2013 line has never been as goodGraf: wait for the mcl line (September +/-)Reebok: stay away from them
Beleafer 14 Report post Posted July 14, 2013 Go try on every model of skate you can find if possible.
Souldriver 64 Report post Posted July 14, 2013 Reeboks run wide. But are relatively average in depth. Look at them sideways where the foot meets the ankle, not a lot if depth there.
JetsCanucks 6 Report post Posted July 14, 2013 Look at CCM too they are a wider boot and also the Bauer nexus line, but like mentioned above try on as many skates as possible. Also go to a hockey shop and get fit properly and they can suggest the best skates based on frequency of playing time, body build, skating ability, and of course which one fits your foot the best. My 13 yr old son has been in Reeboks for about 4 years now , and loves them. Just because you don't like them or have had a bad experience with them, Its not fair to say stay away from them. He should try them on and if they fit, by all means, get them.

Get them if they fit, but I do believe the overall quality isn't as good. It's all personal preference anyway, I've stated mine, you've stated yours.
