New Car

Recommended Posts

Well here is a pic of the same car, just not my car. The car is down at my dad's place in St. Louis so I will get it just after Christmas. I am looking forward to driving it because 170 HP in a car that small with that wide of a wheel base has got to be a lot of fun to drive. Plus I will be dropping an entirely new sound system in it.

Yea, my car has that too. Except they call it a "Sportstronic" Transmission. It's a cool feature and definitely better than a regular automatic, but it still doesnt compare to a true 5-spd because it doesnt shift quite as fast and doesnt put as much power to the wheels. Just doesnt have quite the same feeling. Whatever next sports car I own will be a manual.

Sportstronic is different. Sportstronic is run on an automatic transmition and shifts very slowly, something over a second I believe. If you have never driven in a car with SMG, it is different from sports shift, taptrontic, sportstronic, whatever you want to call it. It feels much different than any of them. Granted, it is no six speed, but it is faster.

Well Vapor you're right, except I know that mine takes about .7 to .8 seconds to shift, just letting you know its not THAT slow lol. I heard that on average, it takes a person about .5 seconds to shift on a manual so the sports shifter is a little slower. But I remember reading about some transmission upgrade that makes sportstronic/slapsticks shift in about .2 to .3 seconds. Not sure about the details on that, but seems like a pretty cool idea.

Damnit, that's even the same color as my old one. I'm feeling the need to relive old times and find one of them. I's tough finding one in good shape that isn't a fastback and has a V6.

Fiero's have those custom body kits as well don't they? So they look like Ferrari's afterwards.

Most fiero's have been turned into Lamborghini's....unfortunately.

That's exactly what I had. I've actually been thinking about getting another one just for commuting to the shop. It's a 40 mile drive and my Rodeo is killing me in gas

haha... thats why you need to buy mine... 4cyl. 24-26 miles to the gallon on the highway.
