Coffey Curve

Recommended Posts

The T100 LKP(low kick point) is in the product book.

TeamHonda the Gaborik became the Roy then became extinct.

The T100 LKP and T90 LKP will only be offered in PP26 Stastny and PP88 Ryan II patterns. The EK15 will be offered in the PP77 Coffey pattern shortly.

Just saw that. About to edit but you responded. pp26,pp88 & pp92 are listed.

You're correct, I forgot to list PP92 Trouba as well. It will be offered in LKP.

oh man, wow, my bad.

Hmmm, interesting. Why is that? Not enough demand for the curve?

Is the pp92 pattern up on the Sherwood site to take a look at it?

Exactly, there are certain patterns and flexes that account for the majority of sales. It’s a matter of accommodating the most amount of people possible with the least amount of skews possible.

It's a Sakic/Backstrom/PP26 Stastny style pattern with a 5.0 lie.

I haven't been able to check out a EK15 in person but I've loved the T100 so it's definitely an option. Not too many stores in VT carry Sher-wood sadly.

Keeping that pattern might be a little difficult because not every manufacturer offers one. The Chara in the Eason was pretty close(not currently available) along with the Bergeron in a Reebok. Not exact matches but could be alternates if you can come across them.

Yea, I've seen the Bergeron online and it looks pretty close. I'll try to find one locally and compare. The Hossa curve from CCM looks pretty similar too.

It seems to be a curve or style that has gone out of fashion- the deep mid-curve.

You will want the Toews curve. That is the Bauer equivalent to the Chara/Bergeron. The CCM equivalent would be the Landeskog.

Toews is similar but it's a little more open and has a bit of a toe cruve too.

There is quite a difference between the Kovalchuk and Coffey. Depth and shape are very different.

Gotcha- I looked at a PP77 wood extension at the pro shop in CA, I thought it looked almost identical to the Kovalchuk that I use- big mid curve, little rocker, closed face. Not sure about lie though, it was hard to read as it was just a paddle.

Can anyone comment on whether the Coffey curve is actually a different curve on Sherwood's composite offerings versus the 5030? I've seen a few in stores and the pp77 composites don't look like quite as deep of a curve as the big C on the 5030. Asking cause I'm considering a stick on eBay.
