Ultimate Roller Hockey Skates

Recommended Posts

G'day all,

Just interested in what your ULTIMATE Roller Hockey Skates would be made up of? Anything thats currently or in the past been on the market can be used. Durability/cost isn't really a concern here just post the skate that you think would perform the best.

Mine is...

Bauer XXX Boot

LaBeda Sensor Frame

Ninja Ceramic Bearings

RinkRat hornets on the 1st and 4th wheels

RinkRat HotShots for the 2nd and 3rd wheels

Ultimate Old School Entry...

CCM Pump Boot (circa 96-97)

LaBeda DaBomb Frame (Circa 98-99)

BSB Swiss Bearings

Hyper Formula G wheels

Just created my current setup a couple weeks ago.

CCM 652 Tacks boot ("downgraded" from an 1152)

Red Star E-frame 72/80 chassis (was using a Tour Redline 72/80 chassis)

BSB ABEC 7 bearings

RinkRat Hornets (hands down the best wheels I've skated on thus far, previous set was Labeda Milleniums)

Aussie Joe,

Glad to hear our wheels are working for you... Great posts!!!!

MIke

lol....npz Mike, its been a year already since I started hearing about RinkRat wheels in Aus and I have to say Im impressed so far. Looking to pick up a pair of hot shots soon for a major Summer Inline tounry here in Aus. Again for the inside wheels of my skates as I need the WC's on the edges for durability.

Any chance of making a wheel that grips on both painted concrete and sport court but doesn't get torn to the crapside? Now that would be a top product in my opinion. Even though the WC's are pretty damn close to meeting that mark.

Fire up some pics once your done. Some Abec 7s or BSBs with Hot Shots would look really nice.

Vapor XX's (if they didn't get messed up in about ten minutes)

TUUK Rocker (Jackal....Rock ON)

ABEC Swiss

Rink Rat Hornets.

Have the set up above but with a Supreme 8000 boot cos the Vapor XX's just don't last....

Next pair will be XXX's or 8090's. I have skinny ankles and find the Bauer boots are the shallowest ankle without sacrificing the stiffness you need using the rocker.
