MatthewRoach7 130 Report post Posted February 27, 2015 Anyone know what model helmet this is?
steelnation248 102 Report post Posted February 27, 2015 CCM V08 or V10 depending on the inner padding. Both use that shell.
McDougalfaschnitzer 32 Report post Posted February 27, 2015 Judging by the foam I'd say V08.

MatthewRoach7 130 Report post Posted March 2, 2015 Thanks guys. I ended up with seat right behind the bench and saw the foam. I figured it was an V08. I did notice that one player was wearing the new Res 100.

I did notice that one player was wearing the new Res 100.The V08 is a very common helmet in the AHL and ECHL. I think CCM probably has a contract to supply the helmet. The Res 100 is the lowest in the Resistence helmet line. The player was likely wearing a "Resistence" helmet with the impact pods and liquid bladders. The Resistence 100 just uses plain foam.
MatthewRoach7 130 Report post Posted March 3, 2015 How does the Res 100 differ from the V08. Don't they both just use a multi density foam? Unless said player has had issues with his head would they not just issue him the entry level Res helmet to match the low level of the V08?

The Resistance is hard to tell from the Resistance 100. About the only way to tell them apart while it is on a players head is to look into the top vent holes. The Resistance will have red colored "pods", the Resistance 100 will have black foam, The Resistance 300 will have black foam pods. You need to look at the right angle to even see the padding. What team was the guy with the Res helmet on?Here is what the red pods look like from the top of the helmet... Alexandre Grenier was the player. I have noticed it before as Logan likes to go down to the glass to watch warmup. After looking closer in the stores I am thinking Res 100.
