Yep. Cheap bic or scripto. Lent it out a few times and used it a couple myself to trim loose threads.

Thanks. I was afraid they'd get smashed or crushed in my bag. I've been thinking about making a little utility bag for equipment malfunctions. Lighter, screwdriver, scissors, pliers/tweezers (thanks for the suggestion A2rhino!), etc.

I've had lighters crack, but never leak. I try to keep them in a container or on the upper portion of the bag and away from skates.

Never thought to. Only lighters I own are for candles. I haven't seen a normal lighter in years! Where do you even buy them these days? Do corner stores still sell them?

Thanks, didn't even know they made mini ones. Apparently, there are even two types! My skates are always toward the middle of my bag, I usually keep tape, scissors, etc. in a pocket at the end, but I'm afraid something like a lighter will get smacked or cracked there. As long as it doesn't set my bag on fire, I guess they're probably cheap enough.
