Retro-Look Hockey Sticks

Recommended Posts

Anyone know of any hockey sticks (preferrably Intermediate) that look "retro" or like wood? I noticed the Sherwood 5030 CC Retro is only available in Senior. Been trying to complete a throwback look.

Yeah, I was looking into those. Found a couple ones. I definitely wood prefer the wood-look EK15, but it might be quicker and easier to get the NXG.

If you truly want to complete a retro look, you should grow a sweet old school Jagr mullet. Perhaps a handlebar mustache as well.

I've been trying to find out when and where I can get the EK15 Vintage but no luck. I've emailed, tweeted, Facebook messaged Sherwood, talked to a guy on here, and no one has been able to give me a straight answer.

What other vintage-look gear do you have?

Not wood-looking, but the (CCM) Titan TPM 2020 is retro-looking, and available in intermediate. Slightly different patterns though.

They have the EK15 Vintage in Senior here.

I've got a pair of Mic-mac (some weird off brand) beige colored hockey gloves I picked up when they were only 30 CAD, as well as a pair of Tron T-10s a buddy of mine gave me. Thinking that and my Vancouver Millionaires or Montreal Canadiens throwback jerseys would make for some fun stick and puck. I did have a buddy pick me up one of the beige pant shells the Canucks used with their Millionaires jerseys as well in case I ever wanted to skate in full gear with them.

First of all, I'm new on here. How do I quote in a reply? Haha

I should have mentioned that I'm looking for the EK15 Vintage intermediate.

Do you like the Tron T10s? I thought about getting a pair. How flexible are they? Is there another brand/model you would compare them to?

There's a little "quote" button on the bottom right of each post.

No idea about the Tron T10s, I'll tell you when I get them. But they look snazzy :D

I think the idea is the look AND the performance...

Boom.

Cool. Thanks!

I don't really get how Sherwood doesn't know the release date of their own sticks. Their site says Spring 2015, when I emailed they said they had already been released, and a rep said they were behind in shipping.

From what I remember my LHS telling me, Sherwood's "Spring" gear tends to hit mid-June, so that would be my guess. Most manufacturers keep it vague to sell their current stock better. Bauer didn't really market some of their gear until a couple months before the expected release.

You could always just skip the actually playing and have a nice little fashion show on the ice

You care WAY too much about this.
