Throwbacks - bauer supreme 3030 / 3050(?) sticks

Recommended Posts

One had red, black, and gold graphics, the other had green, black and gold. Anyone have one of these sticks still and can post a picture? These were my favorite back in the day (with the Lindros curve!) I haven't had one in years (would love to find one again). I'm honestly surprised that Bauer hasn't come out with some composite sticks with those old school graphics, or better yet, just made them again as a limited edition.

I was just at a sale a few weeks back that had tons of these sticks still in the original shipping packaging from Bauer. I think I have some photos, I will try to get them uploaded for you.

Like I said those were sitting there brand new, ready to go straight out of Doc Brown's Delorean. That pic isn't even the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the gear at this sale, it was amazing how much 90's era stuff was sitting there still in the bag like these sticks. The thing that got me was looking at how many curve options there were back in the day, every manufacturer had their own stable of various different curve options, nothing like the selection today.

It's funny, that is exactly how I I would buy them from my LHS when I was in high school

There was a sale at a house next to a sporting goods store in Quincy, Mass. I think at some point the sporting goods store stopped carrying hockey stuff and just put everything in this house. Every room looked like an episode of hoarders just with 90's and early 2000s era hockey gear. For me it was like going back in time and seeing everything i used from my youth. It was crazy that they had stuff like this still in the packaging. The sale was only for a week, I'm not sure what they did with anything that was left.

Bunch of familiar sticks in there- Loved the Canadian C70's , and used the Louisville TPS Yzerman as those had the sweet wheelbarrow style grip.  Reminds me of the stick room at South Windsor Arena back in the day.
