Hi-Lo patent expired

This is very interesting. I would say HiLo is still the most used setup (Mission/Bauer #1 in inline skate sales) and also the most used for ice boot conversions

I dunno. You think Mission/Bauer outsells all of the 80 setup manufacturers combined?

I'd be willing to put money on that being the truth. Doesn't even come close in my neck of the woods, which is a huge roller hockey hotbed.

It would basically be Mission & Bauer (individually) vs. Alkali & Tour (I hardly ever see CCM stock inline) and I would lean Mission/Bauer in that case. I only play beer leagues now and the youngest age group I see is Juniors (21u)  but in those sectors HiLo is by far the most used. Idk about youth divisions nowadays and 80mm might be more seen in the younger divisions.

I see a good amount of CCM where I play. I'm curious now though. Gonna have to start keeping a tally at the rink.

Looks like this eventually came true, is there a major brand now that isn't going to be using 80 76.
