this guy

heads up for anyone interested in a TPS ops

Recommended Posts

Peranis is having a blow-out on pro-stock TPS XN10's, $99.00 each, 80 bucks for the second one if you buy two!

I just got my Tkachuk pro-stock and it is an original XN10 with the un-released XN10 logo! ! ! I remeber bitchin' when I got one last year because the paint job on this thing is horrific. It looks like TPS hired a guy that spray paints subway graffiti! However I have never found a lighter one-piece that peforms as well. This version is lighter than a Stealth. And that's because the initial proto-runs of this stick were built with a total disregard for durability; it was built purely for performance. After TPS quickly realized they needed to add durabilty they changed the formula of the composition of the shaft and changed the logo. I've been looking for this stick for over a year, and finally I have found it! I am so damn happy. The only bad part, which I know is inevitable, is if the stick lasts more than ten games, I will be shocked.

If anyone stops in any of the Peranis and sees any XN10 pro-stock with the un-released logo, in a closed face, mid-heel pattern, please shoot me a pm. I would really appreciate it.

p.s. If any of you guys are on the fence about buying a stick and are noticing that A LOT of retailers are giving sick deals, do not second guess it and buy as many sticks as you can afford. Yes sticks are discounted right now to make way for the new line-ups, but a lot of places are just blowing out sticks due to the lack of sales, which is due to the Lock-Out. Make no mistake, if the NHL were in full swing all season, I promise you, you would not be able to buy TWO XN10 pro-stocks for $180.00

Which store? Is it an "in store" special?

Every location. I've called four locations and they all answer the phone the same: "Thank you for calling Peranis where we are having a one-piece composite blow-out sale!" They shipped to me in NY and even billed my UPS account number! They're okay in my book. Unlike some other stores that won't use my account number (hockeymonkey especially.)

From your lips to God's ears.

I only owned one other pro-stock XN10 with the unreleased graphics and it lasted five games. It snapped dead-center of the taper on a clearing attempt. And as I look at the taper right now, it is ungodly thin. Which is fan-freaking-tastic for shots, but terrible for slashes and prolonged durability. I'm also 190lbs leaning into a shot . . .

yeah, mine is identical to yours, the taper is super thin.. but mine has lasted forever... and the slashes i have taken, i think this stick is blessed or something... i've had really good luck with this one stick *knocks on wood*

but i am 160, not as heavy as you are though...

Damn...I've heard some very good things about the R+. I think I might have to blow $200 or $300 now.

If you can find a pro-stock XN10 in a pattern you like, I would highly recommend one.

People . . . fellow Modsquader's, these are once in a lifetime deals. As soon as the NHL commences (and from Modo said today, I gather it to be defintely no later than next season  ;) ) these deals will dissapear. When the heck could you buy an inno 1100 opc for $76.00 !!!! Pro-Stocks for $99.00 - - the second for eighty bucks ! ! !

Tsunami in East Asia; Landslides in Cali; Flooding across the U.S; it snowed on the Vegas strip for the first timein recorded weather history; top-of-the-line composites for under 100 bucks; tick tick tick

Has anyone dealt with "www.2playhockey" yet? I've never heard of the website until now and it definitely doesn't have the name value of an EPuck, HG, or Great Skate,etc....

Before ordering, I just want to make sure it's not like Hockeyking.net...

Hey,I'm not a inno expert...but i know some here in mods are...

Do you know the type curve of these RIGHT pro return pattern??(i'm a inginla/Guerin(franklin) type curve...)

Thanks guys!!

No, but I did send them an e-mail last night from my private account (which I can't check at the office). I asked them about the curves as well (note, the site also does not mention anything about the flexes of the sticks or (of lessor concern) handle shapes). I'll let you know if I hear anything from them.

I was very interested in the pro-stock Sullivans awhile back...they don't seem to have them in stock anymore.

McCarty is YP/P19 or very similar. Same or similar for Maltby. Assuming Lang is still using a similar curve to Sundin it should be an open heel, similar to Domi's. Green had a deep mid from what I recall, not sure on Marshall or Martinek.

Peranis in Flint had a ton of Sullivan Synergies. I THINK they also had some sully xn10s as well, but not 100% sure.

They DID write me back today, but didn't notice that I had asked about what they had for RH (and thus, did not actually answer my question - just asked what hand).

SO, perhaps tomorrow I'll have an answer.
