Broken blade pics

Recommended Posts

I know everyone loves seeing what they are made of, so I have a couple pics of an INNO I snapped today. Interesting to see the rope on the top and bottom though, never seen that before.

Big thanks to Mick for the heads up

Perhaps its a feature to help with tensile strength. It is very interesting though to see a piece of rope like material there.

Has anyone seen anything like that in any other broken OPS's?

My friend's Vapor XX had it also.

I'm guessing it's a rope of Kevlar material maybe?

maybe it holds the top together. i hate when you take a slash along the top, and it chips it. then it slowly starts to crack down the blade.

I have an Inno like that too. Could it be an I-beam like whats in the new Synergy ST? Or are they vertical (in the synergy)?

No idea what it is, but that's not what an I-beam is.

Wings - your "Si-Core" was an orange SyNergy.

IMHO you can see the I-beam on the pics headsonaswivel posted. It goes from the heel to the toe in the middle of the blade.

It is a fiberglass cord that is supposed to help with wear resistance. The unmarked Bauer P 10 pattern I got from perani's had it also. I rounded the toe off that blade until I got to it. And the blade still has not split. I did not like the square toe.

Where is that I-beam in relation to the top of the puck? My z-carbs often crack where the top edge of the puck contacts the blade. The I-beam is well above that.

Wings, was that a retail blade? Never heard of a pro stock si core.

Hello Mickz,

Great pictures!, Do you know how it snapped? It seems to be a pretty new stick.

Snoopie22

Headonaswivel was the one that broke the stick I think.

It was not Mick, but I.

It broke because it was introduced to a crossbar. It was still in decent shape but there was starting to be a signifigant crack/chip in the heel. It lasted for half a season of 5x a week useage.

It's headonaswivel's stick, not mine. I only suggested a site to upload his pictures.

im never gonna buy another si core again. i broke it and there was no insert it looked dead on like my easton z-carbons insides

Do you mean there was no silicon in the blade? If so, Ive broken like 6 si-cores and I haven't found any silicon in the blades yet.
