Dante2004 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2020 As some states begin to reopen, is anyone aware of a list of rinks that are beginning to reopen? Or perhaps more appropriate would be a list of states that are allowing their rinks to reopen? Some are already open, at least for private rentals. From what it looks like, the states are allowing the rinks to open and then eventually USA Hockey (or other) governing bodies will allow their sanctioned events to begin to occur...followed by the the local organizations approving. But in the mean time, private rentals are getting started.
caveman27 208 Report post Posted May 14, 2020 Not in Virginia. This weekend, they are allowing some non-essential businesses to reopen, but that doesn't include ice rinks or gyms.

OT and all, but this article's mention of curling doesn't have me very excited to be at a hockey rink any time soon.https://www.erinbromage.com/post/the-risks-know-them-avoid-them I think I'll be working on outdoor roller stuff this summer regardless of what rinks do. But we'll see. Hopefully there will be a treatment or vaccine breakthrough. Mark
BenBreeg 497 Report post Posted May 15, 2020 USA Hockey has a hold until at least June 15th at this point. I can't imagine wanting to be in a locker room with one or two mite teams and a parent for each, pretty much the worst situation I can think of.
