I did something similar: I had a carbon graphite blade from an Easton hybrid blade whose wooden hosel had blown out. I got a butt extension, cut a groove in it to make a hosel, epoxied in the graphite blade, shaved and sanded the hosel, and covered the joint and blade with fibreglass wrap. It lasted 2 ice sessions (lots of slap shots to test it out), and then the hosel blew out again during warmups for a game.

i don't get it. are you making a shaft and a blade, or are you making just a wooden stick? if you're making a shaft and blade, how are you making it out of wood?

i don't understand how you could make a shaft out of wood. it'd be terrible brittle...unless instead of making it totally hollow, you just made a hollow spot at the bottom for the blade
