Anyone else NOT liking the stealth?

Recommended Posts

I searched and couldnt dig up info very helpful..

I am wondering if anyone else has the same feelings i do toward the stealth.

I dont know what it is about the stick but it just feels wrong in my hands. I can't take nearly the slapshot or wrist shot for that matter that I could with my synergy or synthesis.

It almost feels ceramic like Chadd described his XN10 at first.

I've used for i believe coming up 3 weeks and it still feels no better than before.

The paint is peeling on the silver part towards the bottom and I have never had this problem with any other stick. I can feel the black (which i believe to be graphite) part under the silver paint job in places too.

All in all I'm quite disappointed with my stealth.

I don't know if I could just have a faulty one or maby its just me, but there is definately a difference in my shooting.

Its a 100 flex sakic BTW.

If anyone has any insight they can share with me I would greatly appreciate it.

Oh and yes it is from the easton toy drive so im not by any means upset by the performance because I got for for helping children out, but if I was going to buy another one once it breaks I would want to know if others have had problems too.

Sorry, it just irks me when people who donated to get these sticks, whine and complain about the product when they donated for all the wrong reasons.

Personally I love the feel of Stealth's. I didn't like the Modano blade on mine, but I really dig my cousin's Iggy stealth. I really like the feel on the blade, although I do wish I could get something stiffer. I wonder why easton isn't selling the 110 Stealth in North America.

Because he made a donation he doesn't have the right to have opinions on the stick?

I've been both impressed, and not impressed with the Stealth. No doubt, light as hell. Only problems I've had, is it almost feels too light at times. The stick seems to have more flex than stated on the stick, but I thought they would account for that and factor it into it when naming the flexes. I've found that the stick is too flexy for my liking as of now, and either the puck flutters, puck flies well wide, or goes straight up over the glass. All in all, I'm learning to adjust, but a regular Synergy was much easier to adjust to for me.

I've only used mine a handful of times, but so far I really like it. I'm experiencing the same peeling on the silver part of the blade, and also a little paint chipping on the top red E. Other than that, no complaints. I don't think its as flexy as everyone says, but I come from using 85s, so this feels stiffer.

I don't want to get into a debate, but yea he doesn't have the right.

As far as I'm concerned the stick was a gift from Easton, and its just common courtesy (to Easton) to not whine about how you think that the gift they gave to you is a peice of crap. There is an old saying, 'don't look a gift horse in the mouth' it means when you given a gift, accept it politely.

I don't want to talk about this anymore, because the arguements will just go in circles like in the other thread. I'm not going to look at this thread any longer, but if you want to PM me, by all means do so.

That would be my guess. Unless they change the 100 for '05 back to a true 100, you would have approximately a 90 and a true 85 flex if that wasn't the case.

I love my stealth and it is the best stick I have ever used. I can't complain about the flex since its a prostock and I dont mind the weight. The only thing I would change would be the curve. It's like a warrener pretty much like the lidstrom which I think is disguisting (spelling?). It's also taken a monstrous beating which out much damage.

I came from using 110/Stiff sticks, so this was a bit of a change when I first picked it up. To top it off I came from a Grip stick + real leather palms to non-grip, and clarino palms, it felt like the stick was gonna fly out of my hands for the first few times :o

but yea he doesn't have the right.

Please show me the contract that he signed with Easton stating he's not allowed to voice his opinion?

He doesn't like the stick, it doesn't matter if he got it for free or not. Unless he is an NHL player under contract with Easton where they're paying him millions of dollars to use and endorse their equipment, he has every right in the world to voice his opinion and who are you of all people to tell him he can't?

you're loopy buddy.

The kid doesnt like the stick that he got as a gift for donating toys to kids. Big fucking deal. Are you saying you havent ever slightly complained about a gift?

Anyway, its not about that. Its about the stick.

My stealth was good for the first few games. Then the blade got weak on me and de-laminated. Plus the shaft gets very flexy very soon. When you weaken the sidewalls from the inside, thats what will happen... <_<

I love my stealth, period. Can´t get used to the Sakic curve so my next one is going to be an Iggy. Nothing wrong with the stick itself though. Just my 2 cents.

I can't adjust to mine very well. The only thing I can get used to with it is the curve, cause I like Modano. Feel is horrible, weight isn't a big deal, but I prefered the Vapor XX, and the flex is horrible too. I've been using my custom woods over it and I wouldn't think twice about going back. It's been an experiance with it anyways, but I think I will stick with woodys or a Vapor XX from now on.

Personaly I think the stick sucks, for the price and durability. This a perfect example of what happens when a company tries to come out with a product that is extremly light, thay sacrifce durability for the weight. People whan't a stick thats going to last. I have seen some of these stick break within two of purchase, and many more break before the thirty day warrenty.

I love it. I think it's the best stick I've ever used. The balance seems great and it feels fantastic when taking snap shots. I'll probably be suckered into buying one when the toy drive stick breaks.
