Heatley's visor has more protection IMO, Vinny's does look smaller, I mean HEatley's almost goes to to his mouth, while Vinny's goes to about the bottom of the eyes/mid-nose give or take...so I would say Heatleys

No, they aren't required, it just seems most of the guys who normally play in north america are wearing them. The stickwork is supposedly crazy over there. Though, in normal Kasparitis fashion, he's going bare-face.

Neither Lecavalier or Richards have made too much of an impact over in Russia... Lets hope Heatly will change that. Looking at Canadiens trying to fit into the russian game/system (they really DO look LOST at times on that big russian ice) really made me appreciate what Europeans have to go through to fit into NHL...

If they play to IIHF rules, then those two would have to wear visors.

If I recall correctly, the set a date, and said anybody born after it had to wear one. They don't change the date every year, so eventually they'll be compulsory. Given that they're both in their mid-twenties, I think they both have to wear 'em.
