Bertuzzi Pro Stock Eagle Gloves on eBay...

Recommended Posts

I love how pro stock eagle gloves got the plastic inserts.  This kid on my teams got warriners on the Flames and they got the inserts as well.

The plastic inserts aren't exclusive to Eagle. Eagle is my brand of choice for gloves but I've had pro returns from Bauer and Easton that have had the inserts as well.

what do you mean by plastic inserts? Aren't they in all the top models for gloves?

They do not come in Eagle gloves unless you specify it in a custom order or get a special model. You would think they should be standard when you're spending $150+ on a pair of gloves.

I dunno if this is a stupid question but what does the "J" stand for in JTB?

J and T are the first initial of his kids. Jaden and Tag or something equally goofy.

we worth in conjunction with Eagle many a times and also have staff that work for us and eagle... we have the Bertuzzis, Federov's, and Heatley's in; and have not been able to sell them. lol. Heatleys gloves are HUGE and like the size of a bear palm, and Federovs are just amazing pro stock nylon... most comfortable glove ive ever put on. but very expensive

The problem with those Fedorovs is the color, they're fugly. I'd probably buy them if they weren't purple.

If someone on your team is saying that they have Rhett Warrener's gloves from his playing time with the Flames and they are made by Eagle then someone is either mistaken or lying.

Rhett has used Bauer gloves modeled after the Supreme 5000 since he was with the Buffalo Sabres and continued to use the same model when he began playing for the Calgary Flames.

Reaper -

Companies make gloves for players all the time so that they can try to get him to wear it. That is what a pro return is...if I am not mistaken, I think there were some Eagle Warreners on goalie heaven a while back.

Marcelo had some that were made for Sergei for sale a while ago. They weren't Eagle but should be the exact same thing since they were actual pro stock.

Man I got them for 240CDN with the custom Detroit color. 230 + 10 for the custom color. So if they are 289CDN, they are very expensive.

Kosydar, you can changed the color for 10 bucks.

Just a sidenote to the whole eagle glove thing.. I got a chance to see some new product yesterday and I tried on a pair of all Mustang X70's... they were just unbelievable. I don't know how they would hold up to play, but man, they were like pillows on your hands...

I also tried a pair of split fingered carbon X70s with plastic inserts that were very nice as well. Though Eagles split fingers are very odd looking.. the digits are sliced right across the same point on all the fingers... and it's very low on the finger so it looks kinda strange.

One thing I noticed eagle finally did was add another segment along the forefinger guard (normally the part that says X70 or XP or whatever) and it really adds to the mobility of the glove, they feel even better than older broken-in eagles right away. Which is saying something.

Now as for justifying the price of an all Mustang (who the heck knows how much, I'm guessing in the $200+ range) or the carbon, split-finger, plastic inserts (guessing upwards of $170)... I don't know if I can justify that. But if there's anyone that can... it's probably me.. ;)

I thought the all-mustang gloves were kinda funky feeling. We would be retailing them for over $200 if we had ordered them and that's bordering on insanity. The Custom Pros were nice but with the goat palm they would be around $200
