Pro Stock Sticks

Peranis and faceoff is generally where I see them. Ebay is a good place to look. Are you looking for an ACTUAL Modano stick, or a Modano retail curve in a pro-stock stick.

Doesn't really matter to me. I met him last week at Dr. Pepper Starcenter in Frisco, Tx. I talked to him a little bit and told him that I was new to hockey and didn't have any gear- I just ordered some Custom Craf G3's last week. I asked him what to look for in a stick and he let me try one of his. It was a RBK. Friggin awesome. That stick worked very well for me.One of the nicest people I have ever met to. He ribbed me a little about my size 6'5" 280 lbs, but he did like my custom Stars alternate Dimebag Darrell memorial jersey. He was extremely helpful and down to earth. In hindsight, I probably should have offered to buy his, but I was a little starstruck at the time.

He volunteered his stick to let me try. Yes it is a facility which has 2 rinks. Go to the Texas Tornado NAHL web site so see the building. He also had on the new RBK ice skates. They look nice, but I wear a 17EEE shoe, so those wouldn't work for me.

For me the Drewhunz story is some what hard to beleive. Due to the stars can not skate at DR. Pepper Star Centers due to the strike. THey can only skate at the rink in addison, ITC, and Blueline. Many of them skate at the rink in the mornings.

They can still skate at the Starcenters, but it's easier for them to get icetime elsewhere since the Starcenters usually book every available minute of icetime.

Sorry if you don't believe me, but I'm telling the truth. Besides, after learning that public skate only lasts for two hours there, I'm looking for a new rink. Any ideas about a rink in Dallas? Also, where can I get that stick?

Where on the internet can you buy pro stock or pro return sticks? Looked at Perani's already but didn't have any luck. Looking for a Modano BTW

They have Modano's actual un-used Easton Stealth at the Frisco Dr. Pepper Stars Center (in Tejas). Not sure anyone should be interested though.... no warrantee.... and a $280 price tag.....

I don't doubt him at all. The Texas Tornado play at the Frisco rink. Mike Modano is part owner of that team. Mike Modano and crew can rent the ice from any facility they like, plus, there's a "Pro's verses Prospects" game coming up (where the Tornado players get to play against Stars and former Stars - Mike Modano didn't commit to playing because of a host of reasons, but rumors are that he still might play).

(BTW, is blue line open again?)

Tons of variables. For instance, the flex (a 95 seems to be a popular Pro flex not available to the common public). Obvious answer is the curve. Some even have said (not sure if I believe or not) the actual composite make up of the stick (i.e., some claim that certain pro's choose to make lighter at the expense of durability, some vice-versa).

I remember when the StarCenter wasn't the StarCenter, one rink, just a local beer league rink. Then the Stars move to town, buy the place. Now all our games start at 11:15 pm. :-)
