How to....

Recommended Posts

Just wondering, as I have a problem with my laces coming loose. How do lace tighteners work?? Was looking at them but... you know when you're unsure. Not sure if my skates aren't broken in enough or what (2 seasons of mild use) but have had this problem forever. (wearing Vapor VII's.)

Try backlacing. It was a little weird at first since i've been lacing my skates the conventional way my entire life but I find that it really helps with the lace slippage. There was a thread about this a while back. Do a search to find the thread.

Yup what Kobe said, try backlacing it should work. Maybe try another set of wax laces too.

A lot of the wax laces on the market suck. If you got some of the bad ones, I can understand not feeling a difference. Try the Graf wax or the A&R Heavy Wax. The Sportstape wax laces aren't bad but they don't last as long.

I know this is alittle off topic. I havent been able to find Graf laces anywhere. Where do you guys get yours?

Not even the Graf dealers around here have them.

I guess I'm lucky living in Calgary as I've never had any trouble finding GRAF laces. It must be from the fact that the GRAF factory is in town. :D
