Howdy, Wait, they offered you a job, then changed their mind and gave the job to someone else? And then decided that if you wanted you could have the in house guy's old job for a bunch less money? Sounds to me like they did you a favor by illustrating that you don't want to work there during the hiring process! You're for sure doing the right thing. I'll have to dig it up if you want to see it, but I took an online concussion training thing when I was an assistant coach on my son's soccer team. Among other good things, they had some guidelines as to how to know if a kid was ready to play again, plus some education stuff. If you'd like, I could try and track that down. My recollection is that the summary of that part of it was "let the kid's doctor decide", plus some 'evaluate when they come back' pointers. Concussion is no joke and you can't "rub dirt in it and get back out there". got a job offered to me monday, started the hiring process (background check etc) got a call yesterday that they went with in house for the position but since the person who got the the position i was offered left theirs, i can come in under that dudes position. Bittersweet, and shitty, but whatever just pay me. however they offered me much MUCH less than what i was originally offered so now the question is, do i take the pay cut? or go elsewhere? and 10 seconds later, who am i kidding? i'm not taking a pay cut

I'm told that as of today she's much better - more coherent, though she has no recollection of my visit on Monday (usually my dad visits, but there was a snowstorm Monday, and my partner and I happened to be posted by the hospital when we were called back to the garage to end shift, so I made a quick detour), and they're working on moving her to a regular bed (not ICU) and trying to convince her to go to inpatient rehab for a while.

Picked up a lightly used pro stock X:60SE for cheap today. Never really liked the graphics until I got a hold of one. It's surprisingly nicely designed: asymmetric graphics, lots of different textures/colours, a good amount of that beautiful Textreme carbon shining through, and some translucent red panels reminiscent of the XXXX. A bit loud compared to classic twigs like the One95 and TotalOne, but it has its own particular appeal. Can't wait to try it out tomorrow!

Thanks all. My game has been improving through practice and pick up games. I've been fortunate enough to play against relatively skilled players (the best players in our games are former college players) and acclimate myself to fast paced games. It was a little disconcerting at first, but that's always how I've preferred to learn. The way I see if you truly want to improve it's always best to start off as one of the worst players in your league and bust your ass towards being one of the best.
