  1. that looks sweet... is Krylon the brand or a type of coating?
  2. how come there's a RH stick?
  3. the RBK 9ks dont look that flashy... thought it would have been something really looking for attention.
  4. is it me, or do those RBK 9K's look a little bit larger than the other skates???
  5. wow.... that combo is sick!... any chance to get a jersey like that... and yellow is my lucky color.
  6. yup... back to front wheels 80-80-72-72. Not sure if its me, but I've tried a few models that had the new vanguard frame, and cant seem to get the same turns etc... maybe i'm not used to the more neutral pitch of the vanguard, but I tried using them for about 1 month before I went back to the older mission hi-lo. The overall weight is fantastic, its friggin light, and everyone at the rink was asking me about the skates. I had to use some halo wheels on them as I didnt have enough 72mm wheels (stocked up on 80mm and 76mm wheels, but no 72mm). They still work great though...
  7. I know this was posted before... I believe it was Buzz's collection?
  8. ever thought of selling some of them? ;)
  9. Yea Top-shelf... those are the 1200c. D-man88 hooked me up with these. They are frigging light, and a lot more comfortable than my previous skates. Used them last week, and I felt the old nimbleness returning. Stops and crossovers were great, I even feel confident turning left!!! haha...
  10. rwclifto, I've got some of those stickies if you interested, PM me...
  11. Look at what arrived at the post office today (not at my doorstep, my wife didnt pick it up for me :( ) thank you D-man88 for pimping my ride.... 3 of the 4 wheels are RRMB816's, and the odd one out if a factory halo... those are the only wheels i have in 72mm that used a micro bearing.
  12. that hook is outrageous! i bet you can even pass the puck to yourself with that thing...
  13. davis, is that the normal way you tie your laces? any particular reason? relieve the stress in that area or something?
  14. I've got a Sherwood Eframe in size medium if you are interested. They are essentially the same as the Redstar ones, just a different colour. Only used sparingly twice.
  15. I think everyone would like to be on that, me included... but even if it isnt me, at least I can benefit from the reviews. I doubt if I'll be on that list, cause shipping would make it uneconomical... then again you never know! ;)
  16. sorry for the double post, forgot to add on something before I hit the update button Talking about climate, I've had different experiences with playing in different climates. Used to play in Singapore, which had really high humidity and mid 90s year round. Now in Australia, where you've got the seasons, and the humidity is really dry. More grip here in Australia, or maybe its just me...
  17. Would be good to see if the climate does play a part too...
  18. there are some guys using sprungs... Aussie Joe is in Sydney, and I'm in Perth...
  19. both are good, I'd still take lohan anyday... she can take me too...
  20. It all depends on personal preference... some guys i know just continue to use those 'off the shelf' models... I've gone custom for about 2 years, and love the combos... Currently now on some Nike Quest 1's mounted on Sprungs...
  21. sloooooowly get back into it. You dont want to rush it, play a few games and be out for a longer period if it reoccurs. Take time to make sure it has healed, and then strengthen it again. There are some exercises you can do, best to check with the doc before you do them. The physiotherapist should have a pretty good regime that you can do at home.
