thanks for the ideas guys, the more and more i think about the portrait i realize im not interested in that. i have researched artists, and oddly enough, there is a guy right in down town of my city that is VERY well respected. nearly everyone i know that has a tattoo has gotten it from him and his work is exceptional. i like the ideas of multiable meanings such as working my ethnicity into the tattoo but im a mutt to be honest and nothing is strong enough for me to really devote my body to that. the idea i cant get out of my head is the idea of Landons hand wrapped tightly around my finger which will show love, protection, and leadership that i will provide to him. obviously im not dead set on anything yet so keep em comin guys. thanks again- Garrett

I take it your not a parent, but when you are you will realize how i feel. there will never be a moment where i will be embarrased because of my son, or anything to do with my son, including a tattoo that i want to get. the shield would definatly get the point across and i like the concept but its not my style, thanks tho for the positive input. Thank you for a worthless post, im looking for opinions on designs on the tattoo not what you think about tattoos in general. she has been involved in this idea the entire way through, i actually told her about raido's idea with the 2 hands and she really liked that. i know it should be personal and i think there is no better way for it to be personal seeing as it will be for someone of my own blood. i guess i will have to cross that bridge when i come to it, but with my age, i do not see my self having any more kids any time soon. most of this stuff is lookin good guys, thank you to the ones who have put in useful comments, anyone else have any ideas id love to hear em.

my dad calls him LJ and I feel it is kind of disrespectful. we picked out the full name becasue thats what we like, and for someone to shorten it seems like they want to take control so i wouldnt do the "LJ" idea. as for my son copying me, i would love that. but he is going to be brought up as his own person, if he looks up to his dad and wants to be like me then awesome, if not thats awesome too. hes so young its hard to say, but in my mind right now i plan on being a very relaxed parent when it comes to stuff like this, and strict where the place is right. in my original post i mentioned something with barbed wire to show protection, i got bashed for it last time, and i know its 100% up to me, but i just wanna hear any new opinions on that idea. so far my favorite idea is "Landon Jeremy" with barbed wire intertwining it in the shape of a heart. Any opinions?

I brought up this subject probally 8 months ago, and got bashed for it, but now im ready to get it done. As most of you know, my son Landon Jeremy was born on 2-8-07 and i want to get something to show my love for him amd the protection im going to provide for him. I was wondering if anyone here has a tattoo for their children, and if anyone has any ideas. i have not settled on a final design so i figured id ask you guys for any suggestions. i want the tattoo to show love, and protection for my little guy. any suggestions are more than welcome, and if anyone is bored and wants to draw something up id love to see it. thanks guys Garrett

if you dont wanna tape off all of the outer shell, you can unscrew the 4 screws and take the inner shell out, just be careful to not crack the foam.

couldnt agree more with mackallica, im 17 and sharpen skates all the time and people think that im some bender who doesnt know what hes doing, little do they know i was trained by the one and only JR!

just added another beaut to the collection, my parents suprised me with a pair of pro stock rbk gloves in navy with the nylon outer shell like the vapor XXX gloves.

no, i was talking about skates. i picked up 2 pairs for $125 one was for my buddy, they are a touch small but they are being streched right now so well see how it goes. i couldnt belive it when i saw the tag on them.

dont have a pic, but i went to the wings game tonight and my parents gave me $100 to get myself something nice, i ended up with a pair of game used vapor XXX for $75 usd. very good condition and PERFECT fit

XXX lite looks like it has seen better days

that is just ridiculous that they yelled at you for touching something. we like it when customers look around while we sharpen skates becuase its an oppurtuinity to sell something. the only time i have yelled at someone in my store was when i sharpened their skates at 1/2'' like they requested and they complained about how it LOOKED like there wasnt going to be enough bite. i said that he should skate on them becasue 1/2'' is the same every where and if thats what he is used to then it will feel the same, if he feels there isnt enough bite i will re do it for free. the guy throws a temper tantrum and blatently makes a mess on his way to the cash register, he picks up sevral ops and places them in the wrong spot, he took skates off out wall and put them on the ground knocked gloves off the wall. when he met me at the cash register i kindly asked him to clean up his un necessary mess and he lost it and walked out without paying for the skate sharpening. i wonder if hes gonna come back if there isnt enough bite.....

i HATE it when our glove wall is all messed up, and when all the sticks become unorganized becasue apparently its really hard to put a stick back where you got it from. also when the display skates are untied.

for you guys with the straight frames like the hummer, have you ever used the hilo system? ive been using hilo my whole life im scared to try anything different i was just curious because i hear people raving about the labeda hummer and i wanted to give it a try.

Vapor XXX Right hand 102 flex hossa curve 6'2'' 165 lbs hard shooting forward. Blade- ive used a ton of OPS and i love this blade. the vapor XX seems to have better feel and control but after a few minutes with the XXX i fell in love. the XXX is the harderst shooting stick i have and i tihnk the blade is the main factor. 9.5/10 Shaft- the 102 flex is a very stiff shaft and thats what i like. on the flex chart it says it is comprable to the 100 easton shaft but i tihnk its closer to 110, maybe 107? the shaft has a really long taper which also helps on the shooting aspect. out of the 7 i own, i have broken 2 in the shaft. 9/10 Shooting- this is where the XXX pulls away from all the competors. As stated before i have used honestly just about every stick out there. the XXX shoots harder then any of the other OPS out there. the long taper combined with the stiff shft and blade makes my shots just fire off the blade accuratly too. 10/10 Durability- overall these sticks have held up very well. i go through a ton of sticks and so far 3 of these have broken. regardless it was in one week of try outs, im not going to hold it against the sticks. tryouts are very rough on sticks and they were all older and have been used and hacked many times. 8/10 Overall- i believe the Bauer Vapor XXX is one of the best sticks on the market right now, if your looking for a new stick with great shots and durability i would go with the XXX. Overall Score 9.5/10
