No the beauty one is past weekend saturday night lady came in feeling good and bought a stick for herself wood one we cut it down for her because she was playing on a pond that night so cut it down taped it up. Next day she came back in wanting to return it because she bought the wrong hand. Suggestion never buy a hockey stick drunk

I think she was trying to scam us as we had a good snow storm that afternoon and she tried pulling the " I buy all my stuff here" line so it would be funny if we did end up finding a total one stick in April when all the snow from the snowplow melts

We had a beauty on wednsday at our shop, a customer bought a total one Intermediate grip stick for her son and put it in the back of her big SUV trunk and according to her while she was driving out her trunk popped open and she thought she noticed the stick fall out in our parking lot which is shared by many other stores. She came back in a couple hours later asking if we found a stick in the parking lot and obviously we didn't because it wasnt our stick and she wanted a replacement stick from us

Just had this happen yesterday, I was cleaning our goalie glove wall and we have a set of Bucky Brian's Zero G and some kid took it upon himself to write " I am Sam" and then just doodle all over it. Now the bucky material marks very easily with pressure so the kids probably used his nail to do this.Would of loved to have caught the kid in the act and told his dad or mom that well your kid just bought you a $800 glove and blocker set by doing that.

Exactly wanted to do that but he went to the washroom and was already waiting for one of us to do the laces for us
-
just had an incident here was fairly busy at the store and some hockey dad asked us if we can install his kids laces in the skates, the kid had to be atleast 9 and even at that age im sure most of us could put our own laces in the skates. Probably be my one and only thing I'll put into the thread but has to be embarassing for the hockey dad when other hockey dads are looking at him probably laughing in there mind.

that link is incredibly humerous to show how dumb some people really are

There will be a skate sharpening stand or kiosk that will sharpen skates with far more precision than people. Robots build entire cars, so something like sharpening skates is a breeze. You will be able to insert your skate, tell which variables you want....radius, hollow, rocker...and it will be done perfectly for you every time. You will even be able to have a frequent user card with your preferences on it, preloaded with credits. The precision will be far better than any 16yr old at an LHS could do...and faster. This is actually something that could be done right now. Any investors want to help me with this idea? LOL As far as equipment repair, I may be wrong, but I dont see too much of that in my LHS, but repairing equipment isnt anything that cant be automated. Perhaps it will be like that stick company....insurance for your shin guards, and replacements will be in the shin gurard vending machine next to the skate sharpening kiosk. that may be true but robots do build cars yet there are many recalls put on these cars though which are built by these said machines and sharpening skates is an art not just something to do, there are alot of different variables to this especially when it comes to profiling skates because not two blades will have exact same blade heights too them so you would be assuming the machiens are so advanced they can measure a skate blade in the two main areas of the skate blade to perform a proper profile because if this is not done then all your doing is putting your skates in a machine to just overheat and yeah technology has come a long way since the first machine skate sharpening tool but what would you trust more someone who can suggest different hollows, radius, lean for you and your skating style. you also haven't considered blade alignment of if the blade breaks are you going to be able to replace the blades if your skates are old fashion bauer 3000 where unless you know how to replace the blades without taking the entire tuuk off. Now regarding the repair side of it there are many times when people just want slight alterations done to the equipment maybe adding more velcro to the elbow strap or there are people who have such sensitive skin that they need a goat skin material to be sewn into all of there equipment yes this is a costly repair but for a child safety im sure they would be willing to do that. On a side not I do somewhat get a lil giggle about when kids come in with skates they bought online and they want them heated and profiled and aligned propelry to them and I tell them how much it will be and there just in a state of shock and amazement. Granted yes its not a great thing to feel but just reinforces the mind in the kid that saving that extra hundred bucks or so isnt that good of an idea

also love how the epic line for imports is like a 6k and the velocity line of imports is like the 8k gear. Im real excited to see the 7400 gear for sure its gunna be like Sri said great for both consumers and stores

Ive had a couple beautys in the past two weeks. One was a customer came in and purchased a vapor XXXX stick in cash and when he took it home and gave it to his son it wasnt the correct curve. So he came in and when we came in we had just closed off our AM till and put the deposit into the bag and sent it too the bank. So he came in and was yelling at me cause he wanted his money back but I told him in a calm manner that we dont have the sufficent funds for cash but I can refund it onto your credit or debit car. Needless to say he agreed to get it refunded on his credit card but vowed never to come back to my store again all because we didnt have enough cash to give him. Second one just happened today where a customer was looking at some Pro Return Warrior sticks and he asked if these were available in a 50 flex. LOL

I have to fully agree that the u+ skate when I had them heated in Montreal also formed to my foot nice and tight.

Now correct me if im wrong JR but doesnt the One95 skate fit differently compared to the One90, meaning that if a person was a size 8 one90 theyd be a 8.5 one95. This is what I was told when we had our walk through a couple months ago
