  1. Maybe just me, but the APX2 line, looks so much better than the previous. Found that after the 7.0, the skates looks cheap, but no the case now. Looks solid, no matter where in the line you buy.
  2. RBZ 60 Tavares curve. First non-Warrior stick in a while. Seems like a great package for the price.
  3. The things I would do to have this.
  4. Especially something that protects your head. Like seeing the RS skate line branch out. The fit sounds like something up my alley.
  5. Nice OR. Careful of that taillight haha.
  6. Too Old, I envy your TB collection.
  7. Just some background: Currently playing in a beer league once per week on. Played high school hockey, for provincial teams, as well AAA yearly when growing up. Current size: 6'0"/167lbs Shin Guard Size: 14" (February 2012-Present) Fit: Fit is tough on to judge. These take awhile to get use to. The padding is a little larger than some of the other guards out there, which for me was different than something that I was wearing. They are snug fitting because of all this padding. I don't have the largest legs in the world and I get the velcro less than halfway around when strapping them on. The form does a great job at shaping your leg though after months of usage though and now I really enjoy the fit. 8/10 Protection: With the huge wrap around in the back and the large amount of padding, these are quite possibly some of the best when it comes to protection. Block shots once in while and have never felt anything. My favorite part is the wrap around though. They included padding on the wrap around itself, which is a first for me, but I really enjoy it. Rather it be a puck, stick, or even a skate, I never feel like anything major is going to happen if I take something to the back of the leg. 10/10 Weight: Not the lightest, not the heaviest. For the amount of padding though, they are far from heavy when you consider just how much are to these. 9/10 Durability: Been using these since February last year and besides the paint/stickers starting to wear off, these things look brand new. The liner soaks up the sweat, but never starts to look dirty. I also tend to have guards start to fray where it meets the skate/ankle area, but not the case with these yet, so will keep an eye on that. 9/10 Intangibles: Nothing I hate more than having hot legs on the ice. These things have great ventilation. While skating I get the air coming through the ventilation holes in the from of the guard. Just a nice added touch. 8/10 Conclusion: Overall, I have no complaints about these thus far. Just a great all around pad for players of all levels. I've had Warrior sticks and pants in the past, which is why I wanted to try out another piece of their protective line and I must say, I will probably continue to look at their products in the future. 9/10
  8. OG Stealths. Oh how I miss thee.
  9. These are growing on me, though the heel design pattern still throws me off a little.

    CCM U+12

Just some background: Currently playing in a beer league once per week on. Played high school hockey, for provincial teams, as well AAA yearly when growing up. Current size: 6'0"/167lbs Glove Size: 14" Fit - I have long, skinny fingers, so finding a glove that offers long enough fingers without having so much volume that the glove feels as though it is going to fall off is a challenge for me. Most of my gloves in the past (NB Supreme one90, Bauer Vapor XXX, Bauer Vapor 9) have all been 15". To get the length needed for my fingers a 14" was fine. I did give up some length in the wrist, but the fit is snug in the hand, but plenty of length in the fingers. 9/10 Protection - As stated, I did give up some wrist protection because of the shorter style cuff of the U+12's, but that is the only area. The backhand and finger protection is great. Have taken a couple of pucks off of the back of the hand with no issues at all. 7/10 Weight - Very light weight glove. It was one of the aspects that surprised me most about these gloves. What's great is that once my hands start to sweat, they don't hold a lot of the sweat, meaning they stay light weight the entire time you're using them. As much as I loved my Vapor XXX gloves, they tended to hold more sweat and feel heavier than when the session started, just not the case with these. 9.5/10 Durability - Been using these gloves for 7 months now and the only wear I am starting to see is in the palm. I am typically not hard on palms. Generally some other part of the gloves has to be stitched or replaced before the palm for me. Thus far, the general wear of the palms has been the only wear I've seen. The rest of the glove looks virtually brand new, besides a couple puck marks. 9/10 Intangibles - Just the looks. Big fan of navy/white colourways and these don't disappoint in the looks department. Nice, soft palm as well. Conclusion - For the price, if the fit is right for you and you don't mind a shorter style cuff, compared to many other similar fitting gloves, they need to be at or near the top of your "to try" list. 9/10
  12. Have a buddy with a B5 S4 Avant. Put stage two into it this summer, hoping to go stage three next year. Too many other repairs were needed when he got it in JUne.
