  1. I use a P28 so when I shoot the puck is closer to the toe it’s a little bit past center of the blade but I don’t notice any accuracy issues. Taking slap shots were pretty accurate and usually I don’t have that great of accuracy with slap shots. I think if you on a budget it’s not worth spending the money if you’re a guy who always buys top end sticks it’s $60 more than the vapor flylite so if you have the money to spend its worth it especially if you come from the nexus sticks, I’m coming from the vapor line so it took a game to get used to the release shooting but the puck feel was great right off the bat
  2. Played my second game with the stick last night and was able to take a bunch of shots in warmups and I’m absolutely falling in love with this stick. Shots come off really nice especially shooting in stride the shots came off amazing. I think it’s gonna be my new number 1 stick and my Flylite will be number 2 until this thing breaks. The blade also got stepped on again, happened in first game too and luckily hasn’t broke. I think the green insert in the hole makes it durable, hopefully stays that way.
  3. I ordered them back in June. Pure hockey did them for me they told me 10-14 business days and that’s what it was
  4. Yea I have custom 2X pro, coming for retail 1X, the process is easy and fast. The scan said I was a perfect match for vapor. I got the skates in about 13 business days. They are the most comfortable best fitting skates I’ve ever had. No complaints from me.
  5. The last is also destroyed in the video that’s why the old process they’d have a mold and have to make a new last for every skate they made
  6. If the holder is set to be perpendicular to wheel you never need to adjust it. The edges are adjusted for evenness by raising or lowering the height of the blade. If you’re doing FBV and you adjust the pitch you don’t just raise or lower the height you’re moving the inside and outside edges closer or further from the wheel has nothing to do with height. This is extreme example but just imagine the holder being on a 45 degree angle in relation to grinding wheel would that make the proper FBV shape on the blade, it would not, the flat part wouldn’t even be flat it would be pitched, that’s why unless somethings wrong with your machine and grinding wheel you shouldn’t touch the pitch, that’s why it says in manual that holder comes perpendicular to wheel and shouldn’t be touched.
  7. I would never touch the pitch knob for FBV especially. FBV is putting a specific shape in the steel adjusting the pitch knob is actually altering the shape by pitching the angle of the entire blade. ROH prob wouldn’t be as big a deal bc it’s one consistent shape. For FBV you should have blade perfectly perpendicular to wheel and only be adjusting the height up and down of the front and back of blade, whoever told you they only use the pitch knob for FBV i would never let them do my skates. That’s why I do my own bc there’s too many people that think they know what their doing and don’t.
  8. If you email step steel you can get their rubber hone that’s meant for black steel, I have it if I remover correctly it’s about same price may have been a couple bucks cheaper
  9. Really, I never thought they were bulky at all. I was previously using CCM CL, and RBZ, I have same mobility as those.
  10. Vapor 1x lite shoulders are lightest I’ve ever worn and more protection than the CCM RBZ/FT1s I used to wear
  11. You’re gonna like it a lot. I was using all pro advs this year i been loving them. I just got the flylite two weeks ago and really like it taped up it’s about 10 grams heavier than my lightest ADV pro stock but it’s lighter than the other two, it’s 374 grams taped and cut about 1.5”
  12. Yea one of mine had a nexus blade too I think. They’re heavier than the adv retail blade for sure.
  13. There is an extension they put it in when they make the stick. I used to think it was just built long too until I got a pro stick adv that was 64” when I cut it down to about 58.25” you can see the part of the extension that goes into stick it was very thick at the top after I cut it bc it was the stick plus the part that goes inside the shaft. Pro stock ADVs all weigh different I’ve had 3. They were 390(one with extension) 374, and 366. They all don’t have an ADV blade which is super stiff and super light. So they’re ADV builds with different blades the other thing was one of mine was a P28M curve and that extra height adds weight.
  14. It is heavier I have another pro stock adv that’s a regular p28 not max height and it’s 20 grams lighter and you can definitely feel the difference but it’s not really a issue they’re both extremely light
  15. I’m using a P28M now it’s a ADV pro stick 82 flex with a P28M curve name on stick is wideman is an awesome stick I love it but it wasn’t cheap I still paid $235 with shipping
  16. Yea I just saw that on Instagram. It’s pricey but pretty cool options if ya have the money
  17. They are still one piece it’s the materials in the blade that you can customize. So if you want a nexus stick with vapor blade it’s done during the construction process it’s still a one piece stick.
  18. May be available on the new vapor sticks possibly that’s not confirmed. It will def be available custom
  19. Anyone hear anything about pro custom sticks on my Bauer I saw something about fully custom sticks now. Anyone know of the minimum order? Or when it will be up and running?
  20. Didn’t you say you didn’t like the extra heel on the step ST? The black edge has the same profile as the ls2 runners you should prob go with them
  21. Fusion Runners get bent a lot easier than other runners. I had problem with fusion getting bent after a shot hitting it. I stopped using them a long time ago. I love the edge holders and are currently using step black steel which is the best steel out there in my opinion
  22. Well if it works for you than thats all that matters. I see people do 5 or 6 hard passes too and I'm like what are you doing? but your right this cheap little thing does work well thats why i tell them 1 maybe 2 passes max is all you need.
  23. Your really suppose to use a sweet stick as a touch up or in emergency situations it sounds like your using it way to much and you will eventually ruin your edges and make them very brittle. if your doing your system between every skate your definitely ruining your steel you should just get them sharpened if the get badly nicked up. Remember the small little knicks you get have no effect on your skating at all you'll never notice. I used to get my skates sharpened every time they had a little knick even though i have a X01 it wasn't nessasary. I remember on my sweet stick packaging it says not to use as a substitute for sharpening which is what your description sounds like so I would rethink using it that much and your never really suppose to swipe it with hard pressure either you should be doing light passes only or you risk damaging the steel.
