sbecks72986 replied to VegasHockey's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Pretty sure it’s the retail ADV blade -
It’s a Supreme Adv not a ADV 2

SWOT - Super Light Senior Shoulder Pad
sbecks72986 replied to VegasHockey's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Really, I never thought they were bulky at all. I was previously using CCM CL, and RBZ, I have same mobility as those. -
It says FT3 on the stick so, kinda strange since FT2 just came out
-
Possibly if it is, has a bed adjustment system looks like adjustment clips on the side like the D30 helmets, 710 had on the back

SWOT - Super Light Senior Shoulder Pad

Vapor 1x lite shoulders are lightest I’ve ever worn and more protection than the CCM RBZ/FT1s I used to wear -
Sharpening: Blade Hollow and the Relationship to Body Weight
sbecks72986 replied to Gretsch's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I’m 165 skated on 1” hollow since I was 140lbs. It’s all about knee bend and ankle flexion to have a good edge and the shallow hollow gives you better speed less drag- 47 replies

Bauer ADV vs BGP2P (Pro Stock ADV) weight?
sbecks72986 replied to VegasHockey's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
You’re gonna like it a lot. I was using all pro advs this year i been loving them. I just got the flylite two weeks ago and really like it taped up it’s about 10 grams heavier than my lightest ADV pro stock but it’s lighter than the other two, it’s 374 grams taped and cut about 1.5” -
Bauer ADV vs BGP2P (Pro Stock ADV) weight?

Yea one of mine had a nexus blade too I think. They’re heavier than the adv retail blade for sure. -
Bauer ADV vs BGP2P (Pro Stock ADV) weight?
sbecks72986 replied to VegasHockey's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
There is an extension they put it in when they make the stick. I used to think it was just built long too until I got a pro stick adv that was 64” when I cut it down to about 58.25” you can see the part of the extension that goes into stick it was very thick at the top after I cut it bc it was the stick plus the part that goes inside the shaft. Pro stock ADVs all weigh different I’ve had 3. They were 390(one with extension) 374, and 366. They all don’t have an ADV blade which is super stiff and super light. So they’re ADV builds with different blades the other thing was one of mine was a P28M curve and that extra height adds weight. -
It is heavier I have another pro stock adv that’s a regular p28 not max height and it’s 20 grams lighter and you can definitely feel the difference but it’s not really a issue they’re both extremely light
-
I’m using a P28M now it’s a ADV pro stick 82 flex with a P28M curve name on stick is wideman is an awesome stick I love it but it wasn’t cheap I still paid $235 with shipping
-
Yea I just saw that on Instagram. It’s pricey but pretty cool options if ya have the money
-
They are still one piece it’s the materials in the blade that you can customize. So if you want a nexus stick with vapor blade it’s done during the construction process it’s still a one piece stick.
-
May be available on the new vapor sticks possibly that’s not confirmed. It will def be available custom
-
Anyone hear anything about pro custom sticks on my Bauer I saw something about fully custom sticks now. Anyone know of the minimum order? Or when it will be up and running?
-
Didn’t you say you didn’t like the extra heel on the step ST? The black edge has the same profile as the ls2 runners you should prob go with them
-
Fusion Runners get bent a lot easier than other runners. I had problem with fusion getting bent after a shot hitting it. I stopped using them a long time ago. I love the edge holders and are currently using step black steel which is the best steel out there in my opinion
-
Well if it works for you than thats all that matters. I see people do 5 or 6 hard passes too and I'm like what are you doing? but your right this cheap little thing does work well thats why i tell them 1 maybe 2 passes max is all you need.
-
Your really suppose to use a sweet stick as a touch up or in emergency situations it sounds like your using it way to much and you will eventually ruin your edges and make them very brittle. if your doing your system between every skate your definitely ruining your steel you should just get them sharpened if the get badly nicked up. Remember the small little knicks you get have no effect on your skating at all you'll never notice. I used to get my skates sharpened every time they had a little knick even though i have a X01 it wasn't nessasary. I remember on my sweet stick packaging it says not to use as a substitute for sharpening which is what your description sounds like so I would rethink using it that much and your never really suppose to swipe it with hard pressure either you should be doing light passes only or you risk damaging the steel.

what league do you play in Midnight or HLI?

It's not that dense it's soft. Last night I played first game with them in my skates and wow what a noticeable difference. I was not curling my toes my pushed had more power for sure. They feel great and perform as advertised
