sbecks72986 replied to VegasHockey's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Pretty sure it’s the retail ADV blade -
It’s a Supreme Adv not a ADV 2

SWOT - Super Light Senior Shoulder Pad
sbecks72986 replied to VegasHockey's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Really, I never thought they were bulky at all. I was previously using CCM CL, and RBZ, I have same mobility as those. -
It says FT3 on the stick so, kinda strange since FT2 just came out
-
Possibly if it is, has a bed adjustment system looks like adjustment clips on the side like the D30 helmets, 710 had on the back

SWOT - Super Light Senior Shoulder Pad

Vapor 1x lite shoulders are lightest I’ve ever worn and more protection than the CCM RBZ/FT1s I used to wear -
Sharpening: Blade Hollow and the Relationship to Body Weight
sbecks72986 replied to Gretsch's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I’m 165 skated on 1” hollow since I was 140lbs. It’s all about knee bend and ankle flexion to have a good edge and the shallow hollow gives you better speed less drag- 47 replies

Hands on with the new Bauer Vapor Flylite
sbecks72986 replied to VegasHockey's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Feels durable to me it’s only been 3 games but I’ve taken a couple nasty slashes to it off the face off and didn’t scratch or chip or anything -
Hands on with the new Bauer Vapor Flylite

Played 3 games with it so far I like it a lot. Great shooting stick, good puck feel. If you like a stiff pingy blade you’ll like the blade of you like dampened you prob won’t bw crazy about the blade. -
Bauer ADV vs BGP2P (Pro Stock ADV) weight?
sbecks72986 replied to VegasHockey's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
You’re gonna like it a lot. I was using all pro advs this year i been loving them. I just got the flylite two weeks ago and really like it taped up it’s about 10 grams heavier than my lightest ADV pro stock but it’s lighter than the other two, it’s 374 grams taped and cut about 1.5” -

Yea one of mine had a nexus blade too I think. They’re heavier than the adv retail blade for sure. -

Yea pure has it 390 grams on the sign. I weighted it myself on my digital scale it’s 374.6 taped it was about same as before I cut and taped it. Almost 374 on the dot before I cut and taped. I use the lizard skin on the grip it’s a little heavier than the pro gauze tape I used to use. -

Pure hockey has had them for sale in the stores for a couple weeks now I got one about two weeks ago I cut mine to 58.25” and use lizard skins on the grip. Cut and tapes mine weighs 374. About the same before I cut and taped it. I love the stick, the tape is different than the Easton, I compared it to my V9E I had in storage and it’s not as flat and wide as the Easton stick. It’s got a fantastic release a great shooting stick, puck feel is good the blade is very stiff so catching hard passes takes some adjustment but I love the stick will probably be buying another one as a back up. -
Bauer ADV vs BGP2P (Pro Stock ADV) weight?
sbecks72986 replied to VegasHockey's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
There is an extension they put it in when they make the stick. I used to think it was just built long too until I got a pro stick adv that was 64” when I cut it down to about 58.25” you can see the part of the extension that goes into stick it was very thick at the top after I cut it bc it was the stick plus the part that goes inside the shaft. Pro stock ADVs all weigh different I’ve had 3. They were 390(one with extension) 374, and 366. They all don’t have an ADV blade which is super stiff and super light. So they’re ADV builds with different blades the other thing was one of mine was a P28M curve and that extra height adds weight. -
Mine are size 7 customs they weigh 862.3 grams I have Step Blacksteel runners and the speedplate 2.0 Forbes in them so it’s probably a lol heavier than the retail version. It’s definitely heavier than my 2015 1Xs but you don’t notice the extra weight after a couple skates and there a huge upgrade in my opinion the energy transfer is better you can feel the difference plus most comfortable skates I’ve ever worn, mine are customs but I’ve heard the same from people that tried on the retail version.

T Toe cap on the 2X Pro is fantastic. There’s no room at all for Powerfoot. I used the powerfoot in my 1X but the powerfoot won’t fit in the 2X pro I used the thin piece only. I believe 2X has same toe cap as 2X pro. A lot of people hating on the yellow on the 2X pro, I think it looks great and I got a custom pair so I can’t speak for retail but it’s the most comfortable best performing skate I’ve ever worn.

W28 in 85 flex only which is disappointing.

Vapor 2X Pro Custom is now available
sbecks72986 replied to VegasHockey's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Ok good because I’m coming from 2015 Vapor 1X retail size 7 and they’re 263 and I have the step blacksteel and wanted to use them on the new skates. -
Vapor 2X Pro Custom is now available
sbecks72986 replied to VegasHockey's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I probably didn’t word my question good. I figured they’d be matched but would the go with the larger tuuk on both if one size is a quarter or half size smaller. I’d hate to see a size 6 tuuk on a 7 just bc other skate is a 6.5 or 6.75 -

Does anyone know how they size the Tuuks If your custom skates are two different sizes for example a 6.75 and 7 would they both have a 263mm tuuk (size 7 Tuuk) -
It’s just a low kick with a very quick release similar to the warrior in my opinion. I’ve used a lot of low kicks, Bauer, ccm, Sherwood, warrior, Easton’s and the warriors lately have the quickest release I feel.
