Just be sure to get the right flex and flex point. I'm personally a fan of the OG BLUE Mid kick and the High Kick VS models.
-
I'd say yes that its the same as the CCM.
-
Its very similar but has a bit more toe to it. Nice Max height though.
-
I don't think they are particularly accurate with sticks as many sticks are different models with current model graphics. But it is a fun page to check out and see who's using what. I enjoy seeing the skate changes myself. Connor McDavid continues to try the newer CCM models but always goes back to his faithful JetSpeeds.
-
Happy to see they are now getting the credit they deserve. https://www.geargeek.com/equipment/pro-reserve-vs-stick

you can find a handfull of these here. https://www.modsquadhockey.com/patterndb/

I personally love everything about these. I have had three pair for nearly 3 years and they still are in almost new working shape. Swiftwick – HOCKEY 360° Cut-Resistant Hockey Socks

This was a great curve!! I hate that you have to pay through your nose to get it on just an ok quality stick. That being the Bauer ID program. I was always curious what this blade looked like in person. Very nice. Geppetto does great work.
-
If this helps at all, I was a long time user of the P89 and the P106. Always loved the heel/mid-heel sticks. Then I tried these others and really found them to be great. As I said, I did some transitioning over the last couple of years. First was a P71, Then I went to the PRO9271 and just for kicks tried the PRO9246 to see what all the hype was about it and ended up finding my curve. I will say that I really liked the lie of the PRO9271 which is basically a P71 with a P92 shaped blade and slightly longer. I still keep this with me as a backup.
-
Perfectly well said and I concur!! I wasn't the biggest fan of the P71 but really liked the PRO9271. Today I'm actually in my perfect curve (for now) the PRO9246.
-
I personally believe that the only similarities between the P88 and the PRO71 is the the curves are both moderately closed and have a similar (not exact) blade shape. The Pro71 is an aggressive toe curve and not a mid curve. It is also a slightly shorter blade. Will this curve help you shoot harder? Yes! But it is not a P88 with a slight toe curve. BTW, You can still get the P88 or the PM9 from this brand if you want. Hope this helps.

Modern replacement for Graf Ultra G35 skates
A2rhino replied to BigH's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
After reading this thread it got me thinking about my old 705's. I went to GRAF's website and saw the Graf Supra G9045 skates. These are something I would strongly consider but of course can only get overseas. SMH... -
TPS Response Sticks: Back For Another Iconic Shift
A2rhino replied to A2rhino's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Thankfully the landscape has changed. Meaning now we have more than Pro Athletes pushing products. We have influencers like Justin at Beer League Bum who are the guys playing at our level and supporting brands as well as calling out brands for the quality of their products. I mentioned him in particular as I feel he is the most honest of the bunch being that he BUYS all of his own gear unless a smaller brand wanting some real feedback sends him something to review and he does long term testing of the stuff rather than the guy who says, it looks cool and shoots great. That is until the next new product comes out. SMH.. My point is that like music, we don't need to depend on the big labels and their over the top marketing to find great products. The internet changed all of that and I personally am grateful for it as I never would have found ProStockHockeySticks. And I do agree that TPS was ahead of their time and I believe that this forum actually helped make it an even bigger success. -
TPS Response Sticks: Back For Another Iconic Shift
A2rhino replied to A2rhino's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Nostalgia for the sake of nostalgia. This is a great point! And you are correct. The XN10 was a great stick. BUT........ How would it compare to sticks today? No different than any other great stick or skates in the past. Would they really compete? Maybe, but most likely no. However, lets face it. Marketing sells and I would believe its safe to say; Marketing OVER SELLS. No different than in this instance. -

Well after seeing that PDF, I'm guessing TPS is back. Although I question the 335g weight. -

Easton Mako Holder Pitch and Mako Skate replacement question
A2rhino replied to bthompson1286's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
The Mako just has so much of a VH and True feel to it. Especially in the open carbon heel and rivets in the tendon guard. Interesting read. https://iceskatehistory.co.uk/mlx -

Easton Mako Holder Pitch and Mako Skate replacement question
A2rhino replied to bthompson1286's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Far from an expert on this but wasn't Scott Van Horn (TRUE) the creator of the Mako Skate? You may want to try the True Shift Max holders as I have heard they are at an aggressive pitch. I currently am having my Trues swapped out for the new Speed Shift holders as they are less aggressive. -
Good to know. I just ordered the new holders and steel. Look forward to taking them for a test drive. Will place a photo when they have been installed.
-
Per the team at TRUE In CAD, plus shipping: SpeedShift HP DLC Steel is $199.99/pair SpeedShift Holder is $69.99/piece(not pair) What are the chances of this steel bowing and holding up to a heavier person with the cutouts in them. I remember when Bauer did this and it was a disaster.

Learn something new everyday. I had no idea that was what the numbers represented. I actually just bought a pair of NEW Catalyst Pro's in my size. I looked at the Catalyst 9x4 but did notice that they were a bit less stiff than what I am use to. These Cat Pro's seem to fit the bill. My plan is to switch out the holders to CCM XS so I can once again use Step Steel and be more at a pitch that I am use to.
