Win for AI!! And I guess that would explain the sub $1K price on these skates.
-
I'm going to try these on this week but will remain skeptically optimistic. The fact that these skates are being hyped so hard but that the pro version had been available since the second quarter of 2025 and not one siting of these being worn (blacked out) in a game or even tested by a Warrior athlete makes me think that these are nothing special. I was also told from a dealer who did not receive any that they only made a limited run on these to see just how well they would do in the retail market. Sounds odd to me but then again I'm not in the business so it may be normal.

I just saw these were released in Canada and have been trying to get more info on them. First wanting to know if the shell is indeed a carbon fiber shell as it looks like a cheap ripoff of one. I reached out to True and asked. Below is the answer I received. Hi Andrew, We appreciate you reaching out. For now the new 2026 skates will only be available for purchase through our authorized dealers. It's possible they will be added to the site at a later date if there is additional inventory added. Here are details on this new shell: POLYFUSION PWRCORE A lightweight, ultra-durable Polyfusion shell co-molded with PWRCORE technology delivers increased energy transfer for powerful strides. This advanced construction adds pro-level stiffness and razor-sharp responsiveness, ensuring maximum control. The result is a shell that provides explosive power, elite stability, and game-changing performance. Chris Hockey Support Specialist' Clearly noticing that he did not answer my question I sent a follow up Below Hello Chris, Thanks for the info on ability to purchase the new Nitro Skates. On another note, you really didn't answer my question regarding the construction of the boot being carbon fiber or not. It looks like you simply copy and paste what I read off your marketing description for these skates. So, I will ask again; Are these boots constructed of carbon fiber or not? Thanks in advance Andrew Not sure what it is but something about this skate looks very cheap. Can anyone here tell me more or convince me otherwise? I also have not heard a thing or been able to see a photo of the liner.

I agree with SolarWind. These are the 100K replacement and makes complete sense why McKinnon switched from 100k to Vizion. On another note. I saw these for sale on SS in a handful of sizes. $1079.00 USD. I'm not the seller nor do I know who it is.

JOFA is BACK!!! Any idea on release dates?
A2rhino replied to A2rhino's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I'll give Bauer this, they kept with what Easton was known most for. That being the elliptical shaft shape of the (Stealth) sticks. Jofa had and has so many things that people loved as discussed above. Would be great to see them come back to market. -
JOFA is BACK!!! Any idea on release dates?
A2rhino replied to A2rhino's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Yeah, The shins even have the CCM logo molded into the pad. SMH... Man some old 6070/ 7k shins and some 8066 elbow pads would be insane! -
I'm seeing pics all over Social Media of the resurrection of the JOFA branded protective gear. From what I have seen it only model of the following, shoulders, elbows, shins, gloves and the old 580 cage. It doesn't look like anything special and in a way very nostalgic. I can see that it is using the D3O foam, The shoulders look like an old pair of the Vector shoulder pads just rebranded as I'm sure the cage will be the same. I guess I'm just happy to see this name back in the game. Now I can only hope that they bring back the wrist guards and jocks that are still used and sought after today.

Don't let the low price of the OG Blue fool you. This stick is probably the best bang for your buck My curve transition through the years has been slowly consistent. P89, P88, P38, P29,PRO9271, PRO9246 The PRO9271 is a P88 with a toe curve and a P92 blade shape. I still use it as a fun backup.
-
I do have a handful of friends rocking the PRO29 Laine curve and swearing by it. I will say that it does have a nice blade shape and a deep pocket.
-
Yes the PRO4466 is the old school CCM BERGERON. The PRO46 is the Spurgeron Pro Curve,. Basically a P92 with a sick toe hook
-
I'd suggest lookin at the PRO38. Great transition curve from a P88 with an awesome blade shape and size.

I personally don't think these reviews matter as people are going to buy it anyway due to some idiot influencer on YouTube who thinks EVERY new stick is the best or a Pro is using a stick with the latest graphics. I only know of one guy who does long term true reviews on YT and pays for most all of his own sticks because the big boys wont send him product due to crapping on their stuff at one point or another. Either way, parents are going to give in, buy the stick their kid wants and let him or her beat it to hell and do things with it that its not made to do because they want to be their kids friend and not their parent. Those of us on here, well, that's a great part of why we're all here. Simply to help and spread the word, good or bad. I can say that I have learned a lot from many of you over the years on this site.
-
For what its worth, A friend of mine just got a P46 KYC stick.
-
Funny, in that picture it looks very similar to the PRO9271
-
I personally have not however a good friend of mine did and decided to stick with the P28.
-
Happy you like the OG BLUE. The custom build will be the Redline Mid kick. Its actually a bit liter. (375g) and tough as nails.
-
Your favorite sticks from the last ten years?

Pro Stock Hockey Sticks VS Pro Stock Hockey Sticks Redline MidKick -
Here is a photo of what I had added. You can fold it down and it will protect the lower area as you were wanting of fold it up to protect that area between your shoulder pads and pants.
-
Truth be told, I don't know of any belly flap that has truly been worth a damn other than back when Warrior added the extra (sixpack) protection in it a few years back. I personally had my pants modified with the Small Nash pad and its been great.
-
I can say with confidence that Superfeet are my go to insoles. I have always heat molded them in my skates and have at times skated hard for three hours with absolutely no pain in my feet.
-
That would be awesome. If for anything, just good to know.

Tackla Pro 9000 and Tackla Breeze X1 Pants
A2rhino replied to iceman8310's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
The X1 pants are offered here in the states as the TRUE Catalyst 9X4 Pants. They are a more high profile pant like the 9000's or CCM TACKS, Bauer Supreme fit. -
Just be sure to get the right flex and flex point. I'm personally a fan of the OG BLUE Mid kick and the High Kick VS models.
-
I'd say yes that its the same as the CCM.
-
Its very similar but has a bit more toe to it. Nice Max height though.
