I reached out and they said you can order it directly from them right now. Just need to call or email them. I'm not steel specialist but from the video I posted above this steel design sounds very interesting.

Switched from Edge Holder to XS Holder – Feel Slower?
A2rhino replied to bthompson1286's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Well I guess you can either give it some time and see if you don't improve or switch back. That's the beauty of options. I've considered moving to SX just for the Step Steel but in the end I decided to just stick with what I have. -

Curious, Why did you switch to SX in the first place? -

I have not ever used any holder other than the TUUKS. Tell us if you can. Are you actually slower? Meaning, are you losing races to the puck against players that you had beaten before? How long have you been on them? Could be just an adjustment period. What steel are you using in them? Are you using the basic steel whereas you may have been using a better quality steel in your Edge holders? Maybe a deeper hollow on these? -
I had bought a PRO1910 before as well. Its basically the CCM P19 which is more a Mid Heel P92. Really nice curve for sure.
-
Agreed. I used it for years and actually still have 5 sticks. 4 OLD SCHOOL Easton S19"s and an old Warrior W04

My bad. P89. Bauer
-
helmet91; Not trying to stir the pot here and truthfully your son may not notice but wanted to make you aware that the only part of the 1616 that resembles the P106 is the blade shape. The actual curve is more similar to a P89 (DARBY) with a toe curve. See below. Description: Very slight loft from the heel like the "Darby" for all the old timers and then has a nice toe curve but still a very modest curve overall.

I personally love everything about them. They are built like tanks and are my most comfortable skates to date. I was extremely bummed that they went away from this design as I feel the most power I have ever gotten out of a boot and love the comfort and protection of the tongues.
-
As you should. The person at Bauer did say that as they will not take a return but that they will rework them. I think in all actuality, if they scan your foot and send the scan to Bauer with any additional comments/ notes they should be able to take care of you. For SnG's, Maybe download the TRUE Foot scan App and take a photo of your foot through that and have them send that with the other info just to have all your bases covered.

Either way I hope this at least helps. For what its worth I'm a huge Bauer fan myself and thankfully can get away with an incredible fit with the FIT 2 in my Mach Supremes. I have actually bought a second pair in fear that the next/newest wont fit the same.
-
Ok here you go. Directly from Bauer Hockey. Hey Andrew, So No on a fit 0 however if you do Pro Custom through a retailer they can add notes and see your scan to take away as much space as possible. No Problem, was this the route you were looking at to begin with? 10:44 am yes but they couldn't guarantee a perfect fit. 10:45 am Ok, yes it will require the retailer to add as many notes as possible to make sure it aligns with the scan. 10:46 am If they don't fit correctly/ to my liking can I return them? 10:47 am No returns on custom skates We can re-work them but No returns

It grows on me a bit more each day.

As I don't have the answer to the question of a Fit 0 I would simply ask my local pro shop or contact Bauer directly. If you still cant get an answer. May I suggest you make your life easy and and go with the new True SVH Customs where they actually build the skate from the inside out around your actual foot shape, Just a suggestion.

Scott Says that this is now a more neutral pitch in the video about the new skate attached.

All I did was reach out to them and first asked if they had what I was looking for (like mine) not on the website. They didn't so I asked if they could do a custom mold. They said yes and told me the price. I agreed to it and sent them an extra stick that I had with the curve that I wanted. They sent me CGI photos of it for approval and then developed the blade. I cant remember how many weeks it took but I thought it was fair due to what I was wanting. I should add that the blade came out absolutely perfect. So now they have the curve and it is available upon request. That's why I would ask first if someone has already requested to have this made.
-
Depending on how committed you are to these specs, You could always ask to have this curve custom (at a price) made for you. I had a curve made for me and was extremely happy with how it came out. It would also be best of you had an example that you could send of what you were looking for.

I'm sure in time it'll happen. But I know that he's always been about providing a great stick for a great price, And to think now he would have 5 different sticks to customize with all the different choices. I cant even begin to guess how much it would cost him to keep this all organized and running. Gotta give it to the guy though. He makes a great stick for a great price. I have done a couple custom orders (Wood Grain finish with the basketball grip was a nice touch) but in the end I found that I'm happy with the specs on the sticks he has in stock. Love the mid kick with the rounded square shaft, grip with no texture and sandpaper blade. Works for me. Especially for the price.

These are being sold on this side under the True brand.

I cant speak to the VF as I have not tried it but I can say that the OG Blue has been extremely consistent for me in terms of flex from one to the other. Not to mention that for $109 US plus tax and freight. I'll take that all day! . As for balance and weight. I laugh at people about this because it can easily be rectified by spending some time in the gym and actually getting stronger and conditioned rather than nit picking about this sort of thing. We were all playing with 415 gram plus sticks just a few years ago.
-
Krev!!!! Long time no speak buddy!! Thanks for the input on this. I'll have to place and order for one and see how it goes. Hope all is well!!
-
I would highly recommend that you check out his sticks. He has a few different options as well as the retail P46. He still has the OG RED LOW KICK or BLUE (MY FAVORITE) MID KICK. Or the newer sticks. PRO46 PRO4466 PRO22 You can even use the 3D CURVE VISUALIZER to see the curve from all angles.
-
I don't buy retail anymore and order all my sticks from PROSTOCKHOCKEYSTICKS.COM Great sticks, more curve choices and NO TARRIFFS!! I'm sorry but for the quality of the sticks that you're getting today for these insane prices and the lack of curve options. You cant go wrong.

I tried a handful and even had Geppetto make me a mold of what was once my personal favorite curve that is no longer available. The one I did stick with for a while was the Pro38. I can't say enough about what a great mid curve this stick is. But as I'm getting up in age and now play in a league that only allows snap and wrist shots, I wanted to try to get a curve that I didn't have to put near as much work behind as I did with the mid-heel and mid curves. Gradually moving to a toe curve and ending up with this one. The curves I did the best with to make this transition were the PRO38, PRO4466, PRO71 to my current curve the PRO9271. The 9271 has the blade shape of the P92, a higher lie and is a bit longer of a blade than the PRO71. I've considered trying the PRO712 as I do like the squarish style toe and the blade shape seems very similar to the PRO38. My only issue now is that it has a slightly lower lie and is a very long blade. Who knows. maybe I'll get one just to try it out.
-
I ended up going with the PRO9271. Everything about this curve has worked great for me. It also made me realize what a HUGE difference a higher lie made when shooting and and stick handling. If I was to nit pick and make this 100% perfect for me, I would make it into a Max height blade.
