  1. Right on. I tried the e28 and hated it. Shooting was incredible but I couldn't stick handle with it to save my life. I have 3 Easton Synergy HTX in E36 left before I need to find a suitable replacement brand.
  2. I have been using a E36 Easton for many years now and the closest I found to that was the P40 but i'm not a big fan of the square toe on that CCM pattern. Is the CCM P29 easy to adjust to from an E36(or p88 in Bauer).
  3. I have only shipped 1 stick and I used the box that I had from when I bought one new from Hockey Giant. USPS moved it for around $15. However, I recently bought a stick from Hockey Monkey and it only came in a black bag with the plastic wrap on it. So the bubble wrap method would probably be more cost efficient.
  4. I had a similar problem and recently got the Vapor x60 shins. They aren't top of the line but they are night and day difference from the WinWell shins I had. I also went up a size from 16' to 17'. I'm 6'1 about 210lb and tuck the tongue under the shins also so the extra length made sure my knees were't exposed. I found the X60 Shins online over the summer for $30. If they have your size, they should still be pretty darn cheap right now. http://www.hockeymonkey.com/bauer-hockey-shin-guard-vapor-x60-sr.html
  5. Anybody try these in CCM Jetspeeds? I have the CCM Medium insoles now and they don't cause me pain but the left skate just doesn't feel quite right so I was looking to try a new insole. I eyeballed the Bauer SP's the last 2 times I was in the pro shop but didn't buy.
  6. I read this yesterday morning. Pretty tragic boat crash too. One of the best up and coming pitchers in MLB.
  7. I completely agree. The NA played well enough to Advance but that's just how the tournament goes. Honestly, I am less excited to watch the remaining 4 teams. All 3 of the NA games were amazing to watch. Especially their 3rd game against Sweden in that OT thriller. I think the final ends up Canada vs Sweden and I anticipate it to be close.
  8. Team USA was probably the worst team in the tournament when the games mattered. They never made any adjustments on the ice to try to beat their opponents. Granted Canada is stacked with Talent but aside from the first few shifts where USA scored first; they were pretty much dominated. But to get to your point, yes, those 2 players will not be on the team and players like Austin Mathews and Eichel will fill the void. Also, that NA/SWE game yesterday was probably one of the most exciting games I have watched ever, The OT period was absolutely incredible. HUMONGOUS saves at both ends until Mackinnon finally sealed it up. I hope NA gets help today to advance because they are so exciting to watch.
  9. Well when USA forgot how hockey works on Saturday, I was quite frustrated. Then team EU stuck it to them by basically eliminating them before they even got to play their 2nd game.
  10. Should be interesting to watch tonight. USA has left their chances of advancement in the hands of everybody except themselves. Dubinsky got scratched tonight which is odd because he plays Sid so well defensively. I still think CAN edges out USA in something like a 3-1 game.
  11. This game last night was by far the most exciting I have seen in the tournament. NA went up early and was dominating but then let up 4 unanswered to Russia. One of them was kind of a flukey goal off the corner boards but that's how the game goes sometimes. NA battled back to make it 4-3 and it was intense all the way up until the final seconds. Gostisbhere almost tied it up with :05 left by crushing the post with a point shot. Catch this game on replay if you missed it. If not the whole game, definitely watch the 3rd period.
  12. I was unable to watch that Russia/Sweden game unfortunately but I saw that Ovi almost tied it up in the final seconds. I like NA chances of getting out of group play. Also, if Team EU beats the Czech's this afternoon, the US may be dead in the water.
  13. I think this loss on the players for sure. I mean look at that play by Kane where we went all the way around the net then out to the blue line and lost it for that 2 on 0. That pretty much set the pace for the game. Team EU totally trapped the US in the neutral zone and the US never adjusted. The US was making passes to guys who were standing still at the blue line instead of trying to transition into the zone. Then when they did try to get around the trap by dumping and chasing, they would lose the puck battle. It was quite frustrating to watch.
  14. They sure did. US look amateur in that game. NA tonight was incredible as well. They are so fast.
  15. I'm also pretty excited. Before any games, I think Canada was a clear cut favorite. But this tournament is totally up for grabs. With the exception of Team Europe. Europe is the only team that didn't seem to mesh well. Team NA I think is a dark horse to get out of group play.
  16. Is Ribcore a the low-kick stick from CCM?
  17. Finally got my inline conversion done. Bauer Supreme 7000 with Mission Aluminum Vanguard chassis.
  18. I have generally stuck with Bauer for my skates but CCM is starting to sell me on their gear. These Skates look pretty awesome. I am still sporting a pair of Vaper X:60's but they are starting to get pretty chewed up so I may be in the market for new ones. Tacks have peaked my interest.
  19. I was always taught to watch the opposing players' core. Usually the center of their chest or logo on their jersey. Depending on the player, you can read where they are going by looking them right in the eyes because they may have made the move in their head before they actually shifted their body. This kinda messes with some players too because you're locked eyes with them heh. If the player is real good, their head should be up so you play their body but if you see them drop their head, that's your moment to poke because they aren't looking at your positioning any more.
