He is really to young to do heavy training . I tend to forget kids are kids . Why I only work power skating with all ages . And I don't take on 14 and up if I feel the parents are pushing them . Wich more often then not is the case . I'm not going to torture them just to make money. Parents get mad at me .

Mark this sounds extremely bizarre. The guy sounds like he is on a ego trip and all about appearances. I have a question about your son ; would your son get better gainsfor his soccer by doing a intense training regimen . Hone his athleticism: faster ,stronger, reflexes ,vertical leap ,broad jump. Forty yard sprint with a 40 yard jog ,forward backwards side ways. Roman chairs against a partner, if you fall the othe team mate falls . Lots of squats ,squats with a vertical leap. If his fundamentals are good. A program like this is all he needs. He just needs another 3 dedicated players to work together as a group. Hold each other accountable. The level of there game will at a entire different level .

That's unfortunate. What these guys don't understand is a guy could show up with ancient equipment and be able to skate circles around them. This thing with pro level equipment is ridiculous. Many many of the beer league players and amateur players can't perform past the limit of recreational quality skates and sticks . Protective equipment should be the best one can afford imo . I just don't get why some people just have to be mean . We are the only species that treat each other like crap just because. Nothing about survival

That is a lot of money. Some times money is a secondary issue to why someone makes choices . Don't assume anything. Have a conversation with the barn owner . He or she may have completely forgotten about your bond with the horse .

Looking at this custom over stock direction of conversation; I suspect these are folks of all different skill levels . Some of skill level has to do with experience.. I guess what I'm trying to say is for a relatively new player or skater does the top of the line product do them any better performance wise ? Also what I find interesting is the language that was never said in my time I played ; comfort and appearance . Two things 20 years or so ago i would bet never be said . Now it's a major part of the decision of what you guys purchase.

Some factories offer drop shipping after doing X amount of business. It keeps the cost down for everyone . This could be the case . I bet it comes faster.

I see the blade change trigger as a almost guaranteed point of mechanical failure. The damage during play is most likely with the holders being broken and it still needs to be replaced. Pros are going into any game situation with another pair of skates ready to go.

I have been on eBay a bunch looking for skates new old stock. I have seen several pair of VH there and noticed in the pics the boot lining peeling down the heel of the boot. Couple said pro returns. Looks like the stitching line is the fail point. Thought for anyone in the company or can reach out : use a piece of the liner material inch wide virtical up the center of the heel stitching up each side similar to old school construction. Use a wider stitching around the boot caller run two staggered lines . Maybe a different glue also that isn't affected by the boot baking . The caller seem is now like the tear line in a note book.

Wow hard week for you . I'msorry. Is it possible to buy the horse? Trade work at the barn? I have no clue of what horses cost. Or cost to take care of . You won't know unless you ask .

The manual machine puts a pressure on the blade when clamping it that can straighten a blade some while grinding. I think this is happening blades bending or misalignment on one end is because the sole of the skate is slippery. Loctite makes many adhesive . I wonder if they have something that will add to the mechanical fastening but removable?

With bent blades,,You will be surprised at what giving the boot a twist dose . I have corrected many just by doing that in the direction that will realign it. I found it to be in the heel . Worth a try . It's free and easy

Agreed the elite classification is passed out like candy. I work with kids doing power skating and get to see in the perspective of not being a parent. The true difference between the two is the parents financial capacity. My advice would be to go where the best coaching is for him . Might to peewee is where habits form that become hard to break . So the practice and guidance is what I would look for . The Elite thing I think handing that out to soon can become a ceiling for a child . I don't think the elite thing will change . I think the difference in cost would be better spent on private coaching and teaching . Hope this helps

There are growing pains with any company. The difference is in how the company handles the bumps.... I haven't dealt with True VH ; but it sounds like effort and intention are being put forward. The only thing that I think they should revisit is the fitment at the hockey box store. I say this from having worked the automotive service and parts box store system. Variables the consumer dosent see or hear . One example is the amount of employees hours the store is allowed is measured by the existing business volume. Customers point of view is why am I waiting so long for assistance.... Another is management works 50 hour weeks minimum . The management is burned out by the time customer xxx comes in to get fit at 7:00 ; he or she takes the time with the customer done all the ' have to be trained on' stuff. Then hands off the data to an assistant. Who more often then not is prematurely promoted. The assistant has to work the floor, ; and this has him or her putting off transferring data . The place is closed the assistant wants to go home and is hurrying and does it wrong. These things are where issues originate. the skates come wrong or take forever. None of it the fault of craftsmanship. It's all fault of the point of sale . The places are set up to be controlled chaos.

Imo. The cause for most rivet issues is the use of the wrong length rivet being used. The rivet arbor doesn't completely pull every thing together.... Also for those that haven't seen the rivet took work: the non copper rivets are forced back threw the hole. This force enlarges the rivet hole . This gives the next rivet less material to grip . Me I add two copper rivets to the front of heel of the holder, two copper rivets at the rear of the front part of the holder, then two more one hole back from the front of the holder. Then standard rivets in the other holes..... Those holders are going no place . And if they need replacement the removal of the copper doesn't make the bolt holes bigger Also a heads up on copper rivets. Many of the lhs techs think the more rivet protruding past the washer the better because it will expand out that much more when the arbor is pulled down and the peening pin is struck with the hammer. ........ This dose not work because the rivet does expand some, but it also expands against the inside of the arbor. ...... I use a rivet or cut a rivet so it will protrude 1/8-3/16" above the washer; this gives the space for the copper to mushroom out .

This sucks . Knee rehab is tough on its own.

A heads up my finding over the years to present with tuuk blades the toe of the blade i too high in relationship to the skating surface of the blade. What I do : take a compass and set it at the point of the internal bolt or on the newer tuuk where it used to be . Set from there to the edge and then use the tuuk as a guide to scribe that line. I grind off that material . I do the same process in the rear .rear isn't really necessary I do it for uniformity. This gives me a feeling of ah home again. When I don't do this, It's felt most in a cross over; the sensation is the front of the skate is pushing back against my foot . Having difficulty articulating exactly . The replacement steels that are not original equipment seem to be made with out this extra material.... Take a look at the how to hockey that explains and shows profiling. The last process is taking down the toes and heels . With the scribe you will see it's not a drastic amount of material. Just some thoughts.
