Thanks. Never used this company. Looks like they're sold out. Do they restock often?

BTW, this looks a lot more open than Iggy, and the lie is 5. I used lie 4 on Iggy and Base offers that. I would try this though for 160$ when they're in stock.

I'm pretty happy with the PM9/e4, but I still haven't figured out my wrister. Snappers are ok, passing and stick handling are phenomenal but the lack of any toe has made it hard to get my shots up.

  2. Bumping this topic with an update.

I have to disagree that the Pure-X are slower. I found them to be even a bit harder than the Pures. Durability on both is no contest, I used a set of pure + 2 from I think August until recently and I'm actually still using them on my outdoor skates when I practice or play pickup. Im usually lucky if I get a 10 game season out of a set of wheels and I think I got 5 seasons.

Swapped some Pure-X on my indoor skates and they took about 2ish games to break in and they are amazing. Naturally the same wheel, my rink is super dusty so the grip is pretty good but it's not the best rink to test these on. Relatively speaking they are really nice and I had no issue feeling bogged down.

I think STX has shared most details, mid kick, 390 grams, only 2 blade patterns will be offered. I think they listed pricing at $229 on their IG page.

Thanks. I'm not in insta. How's the balance and puck feel?

The rx3 had great feel and I liked the variable kick point. I would have gotten one but they only offered it in p92, 88 and 28. I tried the 88 and found it to be decent, but I didn't like the rocker on the blade. I'm assuming this one will only be in 92 and 28?

I was told the same thing.

I wonder though if the sizing becomes off once you hit a certain length, for example, anything over a size 5.0 the sizing becomes more skewed than in an intermediate/junior skate?

I know many individuals who bought skates for their younger kids, sizes ranging between 3.5-5.0, and they said the skates fit perfectly without any issues. It could be kids of that age don't really know how a skate should fit or maybe they struggle with conveying a sizing issue if there is one.

I just wonder if the issue is more with certain specific sizes more than others. Many individuals who have had sizing issues are in senior skates with sizes ranging between 6.0-9.0, myself included.

True was already making retail skates on junior sizes before the TF release, so that might be why they have their sizes locked in better in that range.

My only issue about the ads is the revenue should be shared so small market teams don't suffer while big markets rake in much more.

The ads on the ice and boards are sold on a team by team basis. Moving forward as ads creep on the uniforms it needs to be discussed. But hey I don't write the NHL business model.

The NHL has never really been into that sort of thing. It seems like their approach is more, a team either makes it in a given market or they don't. It's the franchise's problem, not the league. It seems like this is even more prevalent in hockey as opposed to other sports.

It's not just durability. I just prefer grey or black palms as they dont get dirty or dingy.

I'm really not familiar with the retail glove standards, but is it the accepted norm that higher end gloves would have grey or black palms? I'm also partial to darker palms and I hate how nasty the ivory Nash gets, but if it's just preference I don't think you can hold that against Bauer. If that's the standard then yeah, Bauer should offer that in their high end gloves as well.

  7. I wish I could help more, but I'm honestly having a hard time figuring out what your sizing is with all the sizes you mention.

What model Graf skate are you wearing? Tour sizing is very similar to Graf. If you have the option though, maybe you can just get another pair of Grafs.

The 2S Pro glove is nice but the palm wears too quickly. For a $200 USD glove, I expect the materials to be more durable.

I have no idea about retail, but mine came with standard Nash with palm and thumb overlays and they're fine. I don't even know how anyone can wear retail gloves. The branding everywhere is just gross. Plus I paid 130 for brand new gloves with full poron package. Not sure what the retails come with.

BTW, I think your assertion that the palms should last longer is not what Bauer is going for. I think their approach is more that the $200 gloves should have a pro feel, which is why they choose performance palms over durability. For the mid tier gloves the palms tend to be more durable for the average player who is looking for that.

  9. It's wild because I've had packages the same as everyone else, but I've also had a fair amount of packages that were totally fine. For example, I sent a package from Phoenix to Rochester MN and it took 4 days, no issues.

It seems like the problems are in large metro areas that are very affected by covid in terms of having a lot of shutdowns, places like Detroit, Chicago, NY, Seattle, Philly, Cali etc. Whereas Phoenix has tons of cases but the government has not shut things down, so it doesn't seem to be affecting the post.
