Thanks Kgbeast. With that said on baking times, I can confidently say these skates do not appear to be very thermoformable (trust me, I baked mine hotter and longer). Still a nice skate, though. Zach

Don't know anything about how the tacks fit. That said: I was a perfect fit in the 8.5w 705. I find in the 8.5r PK7700 the forfoot and length is the same, the heel feels a little wider. Volume seems about the same. Less volume than the 9035, narrower heel. I came from an 8.25d mako2, the heel is wider on the pk7700. Nice and light though, which I feel too many people overlook in a skate. That's what I have, Zach
-
Anyone know pk7700 bake times and temp? Box didn't have any info. Thanks, Zach
-
Guess this means we wont be seeing the PK7700 Skate? Zach

How is your final slow pass(es) looking? Could be a myriad of other things as well. Zach
-
That stated weight for the VH was boot only. Zach

I have both, and find the butterfly gauge superior. It would be worth it to see if they will change it out for you. Zach Don't know why It wouldn't quote. The above is answering the user "Angeles" asking which blackstone level users find better.
-
So, I saw something today on Blackstones website called "A Trap". Any information? Zach
-
Now that you guys mention it, I have seen that effect. I paid no mind to it as it was a pair of skates I had never seen on a traditional ROH instead of FBV. Zach
-
Can confirm, have used my mini-spinners both ways. Seems to be no ill effect either way. Not sure what gives, if anything. Zach
-
Which Is why I said going fast repeatedly is never recommended. Zach
-
Could be matching a pair of blades... Though going fast repeatedly is never recommended. Zach

Had mine about 2 years now. I have a regular rotation of about 10 pairs of skates. No problems here. Hell, just the other night I was thinking that I've only been through two grinding wheels (currently on my third). The other machines are definitely more substantial, but that doesn't mean that the X01 cant get the job done just the same. Did I mention that the spinner dressing system is fantastic? I don't miss the radius arm one bit. Zach

How much does this guy MSRP for? I know the bat gauge is $125... Zach
-
I have not been. Something worth trying might be to take the tendon guard off, bake them again, and really get after squeezing them AND holding them in place. Removing the tendon guard should allow you to really get in and focus on the areas you want to. Zach
-
Better than the mako 1 foot bed, thought I didn't have any problems with those either. Zach
-
I see, so it is a more traditional squaring device then? Not that I have anything against the Bat Gauge I use, but I think a more traditional device is a good way to go. Now...if I only understood how the HDI (?) gauge worked... Zach
-
So I see. Any chance you can tweet out a photo? I wouldn't mind getting a look. If not, no big deal. Zach
-
Nothing to be afraid about with the Mako 2's, they are perfect out of the box. Zach
-
Any information anywhere on it? Just checked their website...didn't see anything. Zach
-
You should apply it to the part that contacts the blade. Zach
-
You start getting into a game of "what if?" at that point. I say just measure the same size skate out of the box. That list of weights is very telling in my opinion. All around, Bauer is putting out the lightest skates from different price points and lines. Zach
-
Skates have been getting slightly heavier ever since Easton's s15. In a recent years, they are starting to trend downward, but as you can see, the MX3 are heavier than the NXG. Zach
-
I would venture a guess that they are heavier than all of their competition at their price point. Hopefully Easton gets back to trying to build the lightest skates again one day. Zach
-
The MLX guys said that once the skate was cool, you could skate on it. Easton has not come out and said anything like that, but I think its safe to say that if the skate is completely cooled down, go for it. Throw them in front of a fan for a slightly quicker cooling effect. Zach
