Just getting back from the kitchen: Baked them in my oven per the MLX instructional video on youtube. Followed the video verbatim. I was also told from the person that I got them from, that I could use the oven as well. Without saying too much, if he would have told me that I couldnt use the oven at home, I wouldnt have. In all, they are perfectly fine, and molded to my foot very well (I am now wishing I would have ordered MLX way back when). I did not use socks, and found no more disomcort than I normally do baking skates. In all, I had no problems with my oven at 200F for 16 minutes, 8 minutes a side. Also, be sure not to yank on the tendon guards while pulling them out, mine were rather pliable. Zach

I just had an old SE16 (baked) on one foot, and a mako (unbaked) on the other. The ergonomic toe cap adds a hair more room to the boot for the Mako. Overall, the fit is extremely simililar if not exactly the same in terms of width. The Mako's are slightly tighter by my pinky toe by a barely noticeable amount, which I am going to assume will dissapear with a good bake. Also, these things look fast just sitting here. I am still impressed. Zach

Never said I was trying to skimp Chadd, I was told they would be fine in my oven if I decided to go that route, just weighing my options is all. I was given some other insturctions, but I will refrain from posting them as they are not what the box says, and dont want anyone to get blamed if something doesnt work out. I agree on not wanting to handle the skates much given how hot they will be. I will say, after having worn them, they seem about a 1/4 size bigger than my last set of carbon skates from easton, same holder size however. Zach

Unfortunately I did not get them from a local shop (or an online one). I might venture out to a shop though to do it. Did you leave your insoles in?

Picked my pair up today. Initial impressions on these is tha they are a serious deaprture (in a good way) from the previous easton carbon skates (I know they are a different skate all together). I would reccomend trying these on if you are in the market for new skates. I have not baked mine yet, but can't wait to figure out how to make it happen in my oven. Zach

has anyone thought about using the Wissota Dust collector with their X01 or X02? I just got mine set up on a work bench last night, and this seems like a good solution to not having something at the end of the portable skate sharpener. Just throwing my thoughts out there Zach

Another 20 something with a blackstone (x01) for personal consumption. My one and only question: How many wheel redressings will my mini spinner approximately live for? Mine looks like it has lost the "grit" esque coat on the outside of it, though I have not felt a degradation in performance. Zach

Going off the night shift here at the end of the month...rotating day schedule. While I will take a slight pay cut, life is good. Zach

My coworker was moved to another site (reassigned so to speak)..today is the first day of working alone. While having more work, I will not be tested to the brink of insanity every shift. Life is GOOOOOOD. Zach

I learned that one of the managers at my company (and friend) is moving on (and up) to another company. Big reality check, he is only 4 years older than me, really climbing the totem pole. While our "situations" arent comparable (I went to college, he went straight to work after highschool), it still brings me down. Good news is that they are going to move my coworker for awhile...which will be nice, and Im sure a spot will open up, so someone will move up, which means 1 person closer to get a promotion. Zach

Moved 3/4 of my worldy possesions into my new place, including bed, which means I am finally in my new home. Only took 7 months 4 days since the day I signed all of my papers. Feels REAL good to say the least. While my place is only 95% done, it is a joyus day in my life. Zach

Finishing my taxes earlier this evening and that whole first time home buyers tax credit coming my way....life is good. Zach

I hate to be THAT guy (and I am sorry for you Loss Bondo)... But try and learn from this: I recently read that almost 80% of college students (polled for a survey) thought that perscription drugs were "safer" than illegal drugs. Adderall, any of the pain killers, xanax...etc. If the docotor is not giving it to you, do not take it! I cant tell you how many people I know that took Adderall in college...not worth it for me. you payed top dollar for customs. if they don't fit you like a glove and aren't built to your specs (and not to mention missing logos), i'd return them. I just got traced for custom skates myself, if they weren't to my specs, I'd be pissed! The only thing not done that I asked for was the toe caps and I had them stretched and the problems were solved.... I hope you don't expect the fit to be a 100% perfect cuz you might be disappointed.. They're hand made of the closest last, not everything is gonna come out perfect... For $75 over retail I'm more than happy with them Youre lucky, if my customs had not come with the larger toe cap they simply would not have fit. No way Im lobbing off toe's. Zach

One of my sister in law's recently did this to my brother (the credit card part). She also spent all of her retirement savings. Im not sure what makes women do this! In my brothers case, his wife just wanted more stuff and didnt like hearing no. Either way, that is seriously troublesome and you need to make that stop right now. The $2500 part can be fixed...its the $31k part that cant. Did I also mention my brothers wife also wants to take control of their finances and pay all of the bills? She claims that she has nothing to do now that she sits at home with the baby... Really makes me angry for some reason. Also, while Im ranting: Ladies, if I banged you on the first date then I expect to be able to hit it on the second date and so on. Do not get offended when I throw out the text at 2am on a saturday asking "what are you up to?", you forget so quickly that you put out on night one. I just wish women would be consistent. Zach

Don't get me started on Bank of America's mortgage dept. I'm finally scheduled to close this afternoon after having to do half of the 'loan specialists' job for her. Today is the closing deadline before they withdraw my application & I start over. F.U. Renita Summers. My loan was sold to BOA, so I dont share all of your pain. If you were in Texas I would tell you that I knew a guy who was totally awesome at getting everything squared away. My first Mortgage guy was afwul and almost cost me my current place, so I told him to take a hike...glad the seller was easy going on the whole thing. Hopefully all of this gets sorted out for you. Finally bought a bathroom vanity today. After searching for what seems like forever, I find 4 vanity's in one day. Found a vanity at a seconds store that I liked/fit the style in my master bath. After trying to match cabinets to the vanity, we decided to go to another place to pickup some showerheads. Well, what would you know, there is a vanity (literally) as soon as you walk in that looked great. What do you know, the manager he has 2 more in the attached warehouse of matching style. I end up picking one out of the warehouse. Did I mention that there were 2 matching cabinets there as well? I ended up walking away with 4K worth of vanity for $600. The pieces were all special ordered and the buyer changed his mind. You know what they say...when it rains, it pours. Life is good. Zach
