  1. Don't get me started on Bank of America's mortgage dept. I'm finally scheduled to close this afternoon after having to do half of the 'loan specialists' job for her. Today is the closing deadline before they withdraw my application & I start over. F.U. Renita Summers.
  2. Picked this up last week. 2000 Subaru Impreza RS. All wheel drive, 5 speed.

  4. Why is that? Gardens Ice House is one of the best shops in the CBHL (IMO, of course) That's why he's sending folks there apparently. Oh, duh I misread it to mean he worked at The Gardens Ice House & was sending people elsewhere.

    Bauer Endure

Bauer Endure II Right Hand P88 Lindros 87 Flex I got this stick from Hockey Giant as a replacement for a $30 TPS closeout that sold out before mine shipped. BLADE The Lindros blade has a moderate mid curve and is very slightly open. I finally settled on this blade after much trial and error. The blade has good feel and holds up well. 10/10 FLEX It's stiffer than it's flex rating. I had an 85 flex Ultra Lite shaft that felt like a wet noodle. This stick feels closer to a 100. 9/10 STICKHANDLING No problems. Passes go where you aim and are easy to handle. 10/10 SHOOTING Shots are accurate and pop off the blade pretty well. I use mostly snappers and wristers but slappers come of nice. 9/10 DURABILITY After two months of two a week practices and two games a week it is still like new but for a few paint scrapes. It hasn't lost any stiffness and the blade is pristine with no chips or cracks. It takes a beating. Slashes and faceoffs don't faze this thing. It's become my regular stick. 10/10 WEIGHT It's heavier than alot of the more expensive OPS's out there but not any worse than the typical wood stick. In fact one of the things I like about this stick is that it handles alot like a woodie but is 1000 times tougher. 9/10 OVERALL Durable workhorse. A bargain at $60 on most sites. If you're used to the sexy super light $200+ sticks then you probably wont care for this but the average Joe will find it more than adequate. It's the Jeep of hockey sticks.

  12. Mission Carbster Helmet Black Size Large Itech half-shield Used for beer league Fit-I found it a little too tight with the liner in so I removed it. It was squeezing my head and giving me a headache. (yes, I ordered the right size) With the liner removed it sat too low on my forehead so I duct taped a piece of padding inside to hold it up off my forehead. All good. 8/10 Protection-Second to none though I worry about protection from concussions with the liner removed as the padding inside is quite firm. I haven't taken any hard blows to the head yet so I don't know. Pucks & sticks deflect off with little more than a scuff or paint chip. 10/10 Weight-A little heavy but hardly noticeable. 9/10 Durability-Like I said above-it takes a beating with no problem. After nearly two years of use people are still asking me if I got a new helmet. Other than a few paint chips it's still shiny. The only problem I've had with it is that the plastic tabs that hold the liner in broke off after only a few times removing/reinstalling. Like I said, I don't use the liner but if I did obviously this would be a problem 5/10 Intangibles-Like I said above-"nearly two years of use". Yeah, I like it. I tend to gravitate towards unusual gear so the odd look is right up my alley B) 10/10 Conclusion-Excellent helmet that never took off due to the high price and goofy look. It was a steal at $30 clearance price. Average rating 8.4/10
  13. I just got a call from one of the players on my adult league team. He wants to get new blades installed in his skates and get them sharpened before our game tonight. We're on the ice in two hours and he lives 35 minutes away.
  14. My boy plays goal and doesn't like to let his glove & blocker dry out. If they do he runs them under water before going on the ice.
