ICED F'N EARTH!! Nice!
-
Yes, the first bar below the top most portion of the cage ran directly across my eyes when I tried it out in the store. Same thing for Itech VIII and the old III model as well. Drives me nuts. FM480 is the only cage I can wear that doesn't do that to me. Of the new school cages, the 8500 is my favorite aesthetically. I still don't dig on Itech designs (including the upcoming Fantom), just my PP.

YAY!!!! What's it been? 2 months in the waiting?
-
Nice, can't wait, dude.

You guys like the Itech cage? I had that model but couldn't stand it because one of the horizontal bars went right across my eyes in my field of vision, drove me nuts. I didn't flip the screws, maybe that was the solution.

Any ideas on how old those pads might be? I'd give the over/under at 25 years...
-
BK - I love the understated graphics on those mitts. Cobra - Love the OG shoulder pads. I love lamp.

Love the graphics on the stick, TBL. What was the damage?
-
How hard was the sew job on those pads? Sewing machine or granny? At any rate, those look awesome.

What's your fav cage?
-
I notice quite a few of you have multiple pairs of skates. What's the reasoning behind that?
-
SlipSlap, what cage is that? CCM/Jofa FM480 Full? No badging s I can't tell...
-
The CCM FM480 cage is the best cage I've ever used in 20+ years of skating. Don't worry about how it looks (well, not too much) because it is the real deal holyfield. And let's not start a "black vs. chrome vs. white" discussion again! IMHO, black looks the best and all that talk about it camoflaging the puck is a load of hooey.

Well that settles it...I was banking on my next pair of skates to be Tacks but I guess I'll take my business to Bauer.

Itech has a few logos on their visors, eh? I've seen the OG blue, the "I" Oakley ripoff, and the red. I recall seeing the red logo on NHL ref visors, not so much on players.

Reviewed: RBK 5K blade, P38 Datsyuk curve, Right Handed in Bauer Endure shaft. This was my second foray into composites and a first into a composite shaft. I wanted a decently priced blade to go along with the new shaft, so I figured the $50 RbK 5K blade would do the trick. I was wrong. Stiffness: I didn't really notice whether it was stiff or not, but maybe it was this supposed XX stiffness that lead to a hosel crack after a month of beer league usage, or about 6 ice sessions. 5/10 Durability: Terrible. Scratches appeared after the first night of pickup, and only got worse. Then of course we have the aforementioned crack. Wish I could return this. 0/10 Weight: Very light, but also very delicate. 6/10 Stickhandling/Passing/Shooting: It had decent feel as far as composites go. My shooting was noticably faster, and wristers also had nice zip. I liked how it shot, but it obviously couldn't stand up to the use. I didn't even take that many shots with it before I noticed the crack. 6/10 Conclusion: Don't waste your money when there are better, stronger, and less expensive blades to choose from. Very disapointing and I will never buy another RbK blade. Final Rating: 1/10
