  1. Those would be hotter if they were all-white :D Just kidding, although I'm sure a lot of whiteheads on here would disagree.
  2. I tried those on once. Felt like a vest. Not into em personally.
  3. Feeling those Easton skates!
  4. I got those same gloves...only in black.
  5. Ultra Lite- Olive green Reviewer Background: 5'10", 200 lbs. Ice, Adult League- generally 1-2 ice times a week. Usage before Review: About 12 ice times Test Blade: Bauer One90 Shaft shape/flex: I'm usually an 85 flex, but the 100 flex UltraLite took a bit of an adjustment period, especially on slappers. But after a few ice sessions, I got used to the flex and feel more comfortable with it. The shaft shape feels comfortable in my hands, and while some may add tape to the shaft for a bit more grippiness, I'm happy with the textured coating for ease of manueverability without too much grip. 8/10 Stickhandling/passing: The shaft is very responsive and passing and stickhandling are a breeze, although again, the stiffer flex took a bit of an adjustment. However, if you're used to a 100 flex, then you'll be fine. 9.5/10 Weight/ Balance: Probably the lightest shaft I've ever used, coming from a pair of Bauer Endures and an Easton Synergy previously. Balance is not an issue either, and I used an end wood plug for length, but this didn't affect anything too much. 9/10 Shooting: I do feel a bit more accuracy in my wristers with this shaft over previous shafts I've owned. My slapper did not gain too much more MPH's, but I do find that when I try to rip a low slapper from the point for tip-ins, more times than not, that's what I'll get out of this shaft. Defensemen who take a lot of slappers may want to try this shaft out. 9/10 Durability: I tend to put a lot of wear on my sticks from playing D and using a lot of poke checks or clearing/tying up forwards in front of the net, and so far this shaft has held up great with just a few expected smudges and marks. It's a hockey stick, if they don't get scuffed up, you're not using it enough! 9.5/10. Conclusion: I'd consider buying another one of these, although I do enjoy trying out new shafts and brands from time to time. I'd recommend this shaft to anyone who's looking for a well performing shaft with great durability. Defensemen in particular may want to check this shaft out. The price is not too high to scare off people interested in trying out this original gangsta staple of the Easton line. 9/10
  6. Its awesome, no complaints so far, paired with the vapor XX shaft it almost feels exactly like my xxx lite in terms of feel etc. Swing it in a P88 pattern on an UltraLite and I also like it. Sturdy, lightweight, and my favorite pattern.
  7. Can never go wrong with black.
  8. Picked up the new Explosions in the Sky, Funeral for a Friend, Smashing Pumpkins, and Shadows Fall joints. Great month for music, certainly makes my hour+ commute go by better.
  9. How'd your stuff get stolen? If I ever had gear stolen, and I saw an opponent on the ice rocking it, that'd give me an excuse to pull a Jeff Kugel.
  10. Very nice, I used 652s before moving to 5030s. My beef with 652s are the OG caps could probably house a tribe of dwarves living in peace and unity.
  11. So how does the hybrid stick perform?
  12. Those gloves are to die for.
  13. That's a slight skate upgrade!
  14. I swing a Supreme90 P88 blade and it's great: lightweight, sturdy, my dream pattern. Of course now that I hear NBH is cutting/scaling back their replacement blade line, then I won't be happy.
  15. I have the pants too. I am placing a personal bounty on the head of Tim McCracken. He's the coach and chief goon on that Syracuse team. A hundred bucks of my own money for the first one of my guys that reallly nails that creep. Dunlop, you suck c*ck.
  16. Edit: removed RBE I visor after one game, and went back to white FM480 cage. Not worth the risk, but the visor itself is pretty good for beer leaguers on a visor budget. No fogging, good visibility, low price.
  17. Eh I wore the bubble (dangler) last year. Took it off cuz I got the curse... Gotta love the look of it (the dangler)... but the protection is pretty bad. Everytime I got or gave a hit the cage would come up exposing the lower half of my face. Which is the exact same for everyone else I know that has one. Thankfuly I suffered no injuries. Took it off and started scoring a lot more frequently again, haha. Sidenote- Wore a half sheild for the first time tonight. (Obviously not allowed in MN HS hockey.) I was definately nervous the first few shifts, but i got semi used to it eventually. Good info, I'll stop overbidding on bubbles on eBay and stick to my white FM480. I also tried a half shield for the first time the other night and didn't like. Too many sticks and elbows and pucks for my liking (and dental bill).
  18. TCSnipes, do you like the FM480 cage over the Jofa bubble? Vice versa?
  19. Update: Itech RBE I visor and a P88 pattern NBH One90 blade. P88 is the new Coffey curve for me :)
  20. Those look nice with the black laces. I've got an extra pair laying around, maybe I'll throw them on my 1500C's. very nice, i cant even find black laces without blue ticks though. my favorite skates as well. Icewarehouse.com has black, with white flecks.... they aren't the best "waxed" laces, but they're decent. I say "waxed" because they don't feel like it at all... To be honest, my laces is with yellow ticks... on a black/orange skate but... :) Does anyone have any idea of a better holder for this skate? I have thought of CCM´s new black I think its called E pro holder of the new Vector. Most for the color, but is this something for this skate? EPros are great. They can fit on most skates, just have to do a bit of drill work. Consult your LHS.
  21. oooh...we need to rock a jersey collection thread. Love jerseys.
  22. I'm jealous about having so many sets of gear. But why have so many sets? Just because?
  23. From a beer league Montreal tourney the other week:
  24. Haven't really given Rise Against a chance previously, but I'm loving all their songs on their MySpace. I think I'll get their latest album. I also need to get Postal Service for times where I'm not in the mood to headbang like it's 1986.
