  1. Akh - I'd love to hear your thoughts on the stick after you've had an opportunity to try it out. I just can't bring myself to use a Reebok stick, but I've heard such good things about the pro 11k, that I'm becoming more intrigued.
  2. Palms she considered both upgrade options, and in the end thought the yellow mustang matched the green better than the brown of goat. Hey...I can't knock the logic, the palms feel amazing. I have no idea how she chose the insert package.
  3. Thanks guys for the posts! Yeah, my wife is really supportive of hockey, and loves the sport. I have to really take care of her for Valentines Day. I never expected something like this and it is humbling. One other 'mod' I like making to all my gloves is the inside padding. Some gloves, (like Warrior and new Eagle PPF's) the padding is all one piece. On older Eagle gloves it used to be split. I take a razor and make a slice down the crease between the backhand and thumb. (if that makes any sense). I cut out the piece that would have essentially laid on my thumb. I like the feel of padding on the back of my hand, but I like a little room for my thumb. It makes a HUGE difference on my grip hand. Huge difference. As an aside, I remember when Freddie Sjostrom was in PHX, he used to cut ALL the padding out of his gloves. But yeah, the fit and feel on these Creepers is outrageous. I regret it took me this long to try them out.
  4. Christmas gift from my dear Wife. Just an amazing job she did with these, and absolutely stunning. Matches perfectly the jerseys I'm wearing this season. I almost fell over when I opened the box. Minny colors are my favorite, bar none. When I heard about the Creepers fitting loose, more like a traditional 4Roll, I was intrigued. The wrist mobility is actually better than most 4 roll gloves.
  5. Gr8erade - Beautiful gloves. You did a great job with them. What foam pack did you go with? How much was the digi palm upgrade? Same as Goat and Mustang?
  6. Nice looking gloves Balzinker. Looks like you have goat palms there? I have goat on a pair of Rivet PPF's and next to digital, my favorite palm. Super plush on the inside and excellent stick feel.
  7. Thanks Dupes! Yeah, it's definitely an 'acquired' type of pattern to adjust to. And I primarily play D so I really have to watch humming them in at chin level. LOL About 90.
  8. Pretty stoked on this dagger, and it sort of just fell into my lap. I've been on the hunt for extreme heel wedges these past few months, and this Warrior Theo Fleury fell right out of the sky. Funny thing, I never would have got it if I hadn't been sniped on an Easton Kozlov this weekend on ebay. So, to whoever sniped me I say - Thank You, Kind Sir.
  9. @Hattrick - Nice gloves bud. I love the L7 model, and digital palms are my favorite bar none. My goal is to get every single pair of gloves I own redone in digital that aren't already. HUGE FAN. @Subli MC - LOVE that Hull Stealth. Man oh man. Beautiful. As for my new additions, I just got in another pair of Warrior Pro Sticks last night... Kovie DD - I've owned quite a few Kovy pro sticks, and I don't recall any having this square shaft. It's almost a perfect box. I wasn't planning on using it for awhile, but it feels pretty damn nice in the hands, so I'm going to give it a whirl in a game this weekend. Also, the toe, while severe, isn't nearly the meat hook some of his older stuff was. 243 Flex. And this isn't going to be sexy or excite many of you but it's sheer beauty to me. I bought up a bunch of these Pratt's. For the uninitiated, looks like a regular Jovo/P02, whatever you want to call it. Well the ironic thing is, with all the pro stick combinations Warrior offers, this guy Pratt must have the exact same shooting style as I do, because I can LAUNCH shots with this stick. This is my 5th one, no joke. Not that they've all worn out already but I've been buying 'em up when I see them. I have no idea where the kickpoint is, or why I've had such great success with this stick, but truly, it's been my most consistent dagger. The sort of unintentional irony is that if they were made for Nolan Pratt, he's a lefty. LOL
  10. Hey Phunk - I'm pretty sure that's still one of the pre buyout pro sticks. The newer made TPS stuff (by Sherwood) is distinctly blade heavy, and dead feeling IMO. I'm sure MC and some of the other TPS users here would agree that one of the best characteristics of the older TPS sticks was the balance. Just amazing balance top to bottom. That Kotalik stick you're getting will feel like nothing in your hands because of the balance. Just flat out unmatchable. One other thing I've noticed, which could be nothing but still interesting nonetheless, is that the older TPS pro sticks will be stamped Made in Canada on the underside of the shaft, while the newer ones are not. Additionally, your checkerboard weave is visible (older TPS), while the new ones are not (painted gloss black). Edit: Thanks everyone for the replies on the gloves. I've been on a buying streak here lately and I have to cool it. :D
  11. I was going to ask you if that's what it was MC. Thanks for the info, as always you KNOW I appreciate it. I love this palm, I can't get over how plush it feels on the inside.
  12. Just came today - I've been really wanting to get my hands on these for awhile now (no pun intended). Eagle PPF Rivet - just an absolutely ridiculous glove. 14' w/short cuffs, mesh gussets and the most insane contoured leather palm with plush suede-ish inner. I can't even begin to describe the feel, but suffice to say, it's ridiculous.
  13. @Phunky - yeah, the Perry is Regular Flex. And to Dolomatic's post, indeed, you will LOVE your Kotalik. R8's were such an underrated stick, that IMO held their own performance-wise against any of the top dogs. I used to use that Kotalik stick pretty heavily, actually. The only thing that bums me out about Kotalik's sticks are they are 'typically' X-Stiff in TPS. As an aside, I can tell a big difference in the Sherwood made TPS pro sticks and the older ones.
  14. Indeed, it is a great stick. Perhaps not quite as open as my usual, but extremely functional nonetheless. The Van Ryn is a little flatter than the Niskanen. That Niskanen pattern is so difficult to use (IMO), because it seems to kink in a very odd spot. But the lie is exactly the same, 4.75. Thanks Flyers. Mueller is constantly tweaking his sticks, to the point of obsessive. This Kronik actually was his personal stick that he used, only for a few games before switching over to Easton sticks (and right before his trade). I pulled the tape, added a plug and retaped it up. The blade is still as crisp and responsive as if it were just pulled brand new from the shelf.
  15. Some recent additions, and what a surprise...my favorite...TPS and Warrior sticks... R8 Van Ryn Pro Stock (currently using) R8 Corey Perry Pro Stock (prototype) Kronik Peter Mueller (and yet ANOTHER variation of his toe curve) Dolo Shane Doan One95 Iginla (Ovie Clone) And last but not least, Easton Z Air Martin Skoula pro stocks...
  16. Question for SubliTwill or anyone in the know...is there any possibility that Eagle catalogs the customs they've done for the public? And if so, I wonder how far back they'd go. I guess what makes it even more tricky is the sale to Vaughn, and if any of the old files would have been transferred. Anyway, reason I ask is that I'd like to get another pair of a custom glove I did with them about 2 years ago, and was curious if they still had the file/dies/notes.
  17. Everything looks great. Keep up the excellent work at Warrior Miseajeau. I just can't get enough. As an aside, it's hilarious to me the countless posts here at MSH of people lamenting no toe curves at the retail level. So, Warrior decides to give the people what they want and it's nothing but slag coming back. Who cares if the Gionta is an exact Smyth clone?? My guess it isn't, but who cares if it is? It's a toe curve. What can you possible glean from a rendering in a catalog other than a general idea of what the curve is going to look like? Just wait until you see one in a shop, or you know, actually use one (which I'm fairly certain is few and far between, as talk is really cheap) before complaining about it on a messageboard.
  18. Excellent. Thanks Drew for explaining how they are different. I appreciate that. This is exactly what I was looking for.
  19. A little off topic, but topical nonetheless.... For FB or TBL or whoever else...as far as one piece fingers ago, is there much of a difference between 'pre curved' one piece fingers and standard. Or are they all pre curved to some extent. I am looking at a pair of Eagles with one piece fingers, which I would normally say no way to anyway, but they've told me they are pre-curved for a little more mobility. Thoughts anyone?
  20. Schlenske - nice setup for sure. Something like that also teaches the kids to properly care for and respect their gear. Good stuff.
  21. Not to sound glib, but what is different about the 4 rolls other than the colorways?
  22. Sounds good, and thanks for the reply. I'm a huge fan of Dolo's in 75 flex. If I could get them in clear, I'd be even more psyched. Last note...this is purely a vanity thing, but the color combo on the Dolo Spyne clear (Blue/Green) trumps that of the grip (Yellow/Red). :P The Dolo Spyne clear is a beautiful stick.
  23. The Steen 09 is real. There is a guy selling them on ebay, and the curve is exactly like the rendering in the blade pattern chart above. It's awesome. Definitely a hybrid of a Lids/Drury, with a square-ish toe. Just no mention of the lie. Why CCM doesn't have the pattern featured in their literature, I have no clue. But the pattern looks awesome.
  24. Question for Miseaujeau... In the Dolo Spyne line...why does Warrior only offer 75 flex in grip?
