Jury's still out. Nothing more than a me² glove.
-
I wasn't knocking it.
-
I didn't either. That was Chadd.

...which is why I have been suggesting to him to simply make an extension of the stick. Keep it square and straight, without a butt end. That way, the player can choose to tape it in whatever fashion they desier.

I have a couple in 54 I believe.
-
54 in an EDGE is like a 48.
-
I'll pluck that orange Thrashers jersey off your hands.
-
You forget about CoreBeam, which was started in 2001. :)
-
Those original Vapor 8s sat in my store FOREVER. There was zero sternum protection.
-
What were those...Live Action wheels? Here's one - CCM Revolver chassis. We knew how to make those things disengage with one flick of the stick.
-
I think the Canadians didn't get their sticks.
-
What are you talking about? The kids got the toys. That was the whole point.
-
Bro, EVERYONE had a hard time sharpening it.
-
Was called the Harpoon and mentioned in the thread.
-
Yeah, you might want to read up a bit. They've been blasted to death on here.
-
Once again, one of those sticks that didn't sell because there was nothing like it out there. Same with Busch. The Airflo helmet is a perfect example of a bust.
-
I think you'd be hard-pressed to argue that the 9k wasn't a flop considering how relentlessly it was advertised, even long before its release. Edit - Grammatical error haunted me. Juniors sold like hotcakes, seniors didn't, but Rustpot is right - there is a new version of it therefore doesn't necessarily qualify YET.
-
I didn't start this thread, but it's seriously going into "name an old product" instead of a bust. Correct me if I am wrong but when I think of "bust," I think of a product that came out and wasn't tweaked or made into another line - it just straight disappeared. Externo won't qualify b/c it became Vector. It's silver. Not a bust, was too expensive a glove at the time.
-
This thread isn't about naming old product. 752s were popular. EDGEs however, were not.

There was one simple solution for Harpoon - take the cross-grinding wheel to it and shave off the fins. After that, just put glue and you're good. To this day I was NEVER able to pop off a Harpoon. My boy Shawn was a pro at it.

Hocks. The offset blade was originally called UB Offset - Gene Ubriaco invented it. Someone covered me on the Tuuk V2.
-
Hahaha that was Drew.

Blackstone Flat-Bottom V Thread
JR Boucicaut replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Stronger motor, faster RPM, easier maintenance (I've taken out heads out of machines and Blackstone is very easy to do), dressing the wheel is much easier (I remember you had to bust out a calculator to figure out ROHs on a Wissota) better holder (every click is calculated and it is lighter), better tabletop, and 30 lbs lighter. Give them a call, they will be more than happy to talk to you. They're technical guys over there. Tell them I sent ya. -
Blackstone Flat-Bottom V Thread

These are 4" wheels so I don't have data on that, but I believe the number they were tossing around with the regular sized wheels was 1000-1200 prs on a wheel, and the Spinner was good for 4-5 wheels. The thing about it is that it barely takes stock off the wheel because the Spinner hits the wheel with the same pressure every time as it adjusts to the wheel speed. -

Because you are getting a more efficient, professional-grade machine at around the same price point. It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to look at both machines and see which one is better, IMO.
