  1. None? OctoGun has similar features (bladder mold, same taper length) but not much after that.
  2. It wasn't available for me to see it. I said I will comment on it when I go to Vegas.
  3. Where exactly did I say the 10K shaft was the same as the 7K, because I'm not seeing that in my post. The 10k DOES replace the 7k in the lineup. And if you see my reviews, I tend to stay away from using technobabble and buzzwords. Yes. That skate has never done well for them anyway.
  4. Deluxe has nothing to do with grip and everything to do with shaft length. It is 6" longer from the normal. Stiffness, durability, but feel could be a tradeoff.
  5. Developed internally. What people are forgetting is that the first innovation was the Spinner system - totally different method of dressing the sharpening wheel. Without Spinner, FBV wouldn't have been possible.
  6. I am curious, because nobody seems to be mentioning it when they do these things... What is the price difference between the LHS you are going to and online?
  7. http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index...s&showcat=2 First off, I laughed my ass off when I got the catalogue. The disclaimer is hilarious. Sticks - Kronik gets an updated shaft - the Spyne tech has now moved to the shaft as well. Two distinctive scallops in the taper designed to prevent torquing. The Dolomite has been tweaked twice - the Dolomite Spyne has the Spyne blade with a high-density foam and textured trip. The Dolomite HD is the standard Dolomite however with the high-density blade and textured grip. The Hitman is new and falls in between the Dolomite and the Johnson, which will be in OPS form. Syko returns, but the Bentley comes in at the lowest point. Spyne also will come in blade form, in standard hosel. The Dolomite tapered will now come with the high-density blade. AK27 gets a new paintjob, with a velvety finish, standard shaft. The AK27 blade also has the high-density foam. Johnson shaft and blade are unchanged. Goal Sticks - Warrior acquired Montreal over the summer and will be offering three goal sticks - two composite sticks in the Fortress and Messiah as well as the tried-and-true Montreal hybrid, which will be named the Swagger. Gloves - Franchise is unchanged and remains the top-end glove. AK27 Pro features an all-nylon glove, with full sublimation graphics on the glove. Has a combination of foams in the glove, and has a moisture-wicking liner. Micronash palm and mesh gussets. AK27 is a down-spec'd version of the Pro. The Hitman replaces the Creeper in the line with an open cuff design and ergonomic features. Protective - Finally saw the protective in Vegas - came away VERY impressed. The Hustler shoulder pad features collapsible shoulder caps/bicep protection and it has high-density bumpers on the clavicle so that the caps don't come up and hit you on the side of the neck upon impact. The strapping system is actually two straps, which eliminates any slack in the strap/overlap in the material and allows you to dial in a perfect fit. I was able to put my arms over my head and the shoulder pad did not move one bit. It has raised HD inserts on the sternum area, and the vest is also segmented which gives you full range of motion. The shins are very low-profile and have a very comfortable neoprene wrap (which gets grippy when wet) which locks in the knee and a wide strap for the shin area. Vented and with the Silver Shield liner, the inner liner can be adjusted for depth which is a very neat feature. THe elbow is a dual-cap system with a flared top cuff that does not get caught up on the bicep pad on the shoulder pad. The elbow cup has a lip which prevents the pad from slipping, which is a very good feature. Neoprene middle strap is very comfortable, same material as on the shins. Definitely did their homework.
  8. http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index...s&showcat=4 Sticks - No changes to the Stealth line, however, two lower-price-point sticks added in the SyNergy SE6 and SE2. SE16 shaft takes over for SE tapered shaft, with the Focus Weight Technology added to the shaft. The blade replaces SE, but same tech. P4 is Forsberg in catalogue but should be Zetterberg. P5 Lidstrom is now Getzlaf. Skates - Stealth line has been completely redone, starting with S17 - which comes with a new white felt tongue, new liner, different toecap and abrasion guard, as well as a lighter Elite runner. S12 has some of these features but with a microfiber liner and a bit more glass in the composite. Synergy skate line is tweaked at the high end, with the new cap and abrasion guard. SE16 will only come in white. Helmets - S17 and S9 are unchanged - S7 is the same shell, however, single-density VN. Gloves - Stealth glove line has been tweaked - some of the same features that were on the S15, however, a stretch palm/gussets, and a Pittards palm and double-nash in the wear areas. The E-Pro glove is a scaled down Custom Pro glove designed to compete with the NBH 4-Roll. SyNergy gloves are unchanged. Protective - The Motion girdle/pant combo has been tweaked a bit - beefier kidney/spine guard. The rest of the pants remain unchanged. The rest of the gear is unchanged, renamed from last year. And the year before that. And the year before that.
  9. http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index...s&showcat=6 Skates - Most skates are unchanged other than cosmetics. The 9k skate will come in a white version. Sticks - The 8.0.8 replaces the 9k O-Stick. The arches are now narrower and the stick is fused in a way that the carbon fiber strands continue from the shaft into the blade. New grip coating and a tweaked, lighter blade. The 10K SickickII replaces the 7k - lighter than the 7k, with new blade/vibration damperers added. The rest of the sticks carry over from last year, but with cosmetic changes. 8k and 6k shafts have been tweaked slightly, as well as the blades. Curves have been tweaked - P34 Modano becomes Hamrlik, P36 Spezza is a new curve - heel, open face. P87 Crosby looks like it has been tweaked as well - higher lie, round toe. Gloves - Gloves have been retooled - the 10K KFS has a flexible cuff, and the interior of the glove has a bit more padding for comfort. The 10K cuff carries on to the 8K but doesn't have the ventilation system that the 10k has. Protective - Totally redesigned protective - will JOFA-fans accept? This is something that I was not able to check out at the MSH Skate due to time constraints but will touch on in Vegas. Helmets - Unchanged
  10. http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index...&showfile=7 Skates - U+ has been tweaked for 09 - the quarters of the skates are now reinforced with a Surlyn outer which will be more cut-resistant. Also, they have gone back to a better Clarino-type liner for the interior. Should address the issues that some had with the 2008 version. The goal skates also got the U+ treatment. Sticks - The U+ CL (stands for Crazy Light) clocks in a ridiculous 405g. Contoured shaft with a matte texture as well. The U+ is unchanged. The Octo Gun has an 8-sided taper (get it, Octo?) and it is CCM's first foray into nanotechnology (in both shaft and blade). Comes in at a healthy 470g. 4 of the 5 sticks in the Octo Gun lineup feature the 8-sided taper. Pattern changes to note - Recchi now becomes Tavares. Gloves - Total redesign of the entire glove line - starting with the V10, which keeps the 3-piece thumb from Vector 10, but has an anatomical EPP backhand for a tighter fit. The 4R Pro is an updated 4-roll glove. Protective - Unchanged from 2008 Helmets - Two new helmets for 2009 - the V05 and V04. Tweaked Vector shell (minus a few vents, and double-screw adjustment). V05 is dual-density VN and the V04 is single-density.
  11. http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index...s&showcat=3 Skates - Ha. Sticks - Lineup remains unchanged, Supreme line added from holiday booking. Gloves - Supreme line is new for 2009 - starting with the flagship ONE95. Follows up on the ONE90 concept, however, the glove is a bit roomier than what the ONE90 was. New stretch palm, a impact-displacement system and a moisture-wicking, cooling liner are the main features of the glove. Vapor is unchanged. 4-Roll gets the Bauer logo treatment. Helmets - Helmets are unchanged other than the new 5100 - which is the 9500 single shell with dual-density VN padding. Protective - Supreme protective is redone for 2009 - the impact-displacement system and new liner that are in the ONE95 glove are in the ONE95 pads as well - however, in high-impact areas (shoulder caps, shins and forearms), the pads feature a fused polyethlene/high-density foam that cuts down on weight however absorbing impact. The ONE95 pants have the impact-displacement system in the spinal area. Vapor series is unchanged.
  12. Go to bed Steve, it'll be there in the morning :)
  13. Haha, I didn't do the descriptions. I was gone before they received them. I priced them in November 2007. But in all seriousness, the wholesale cost is for a pair. CCM priced them to be sold $5 more than standard steel.
  14. Yeah, that was something that I had to clear up because when I submitted my numbers my boss was like "You made a mistake there, you need to price that higher." I called CCM to confirm it was a set because everyone assumed it was per runner. They come in the same bag as the steel ones. Buyers didn't know that til it showed up.
  15. I just checked 8 online sites for Rocket Runners. Six had them for between $35 and $40 each. Two sites did not even stock them. Since I know wholesale cost for Rocket Runners, I would like to see your link to the online site selling Rocket Runners for $35/$40 pair. Thanks. http://www.summitonline.com/product/131072...r+Skate+Blades+ The description says "Sold in Pairs." I priced that for Summit last year. I know the WS cost as well, it was per pair. But hey, if you can make double, great.
  16. They switched to the shiny logo on the back in 2000, then the actual 705 logo a few years later. When I wore 705s they were from 97 and they lasted 5 years.
  17. If those are 10 years old it just shows how much Grafs last. Nice laces too. Those were the "good" Grafs. None of that silver crap on the skates.
  18. I never touch the pitch dial on that style holder.
  19. Maybe he just misremembers what he heard. Aw poor Clemens...LOL
  20. Sounds like someone needs an edumacation.
  21. Did you guys pick up 296 holders/steel? I will be doing FBVs as well in a short bit. :)
  22. Damn, how many machines have you sold on here?
