  1. They aren't really making them...there are NHLers using them, but in OPS form.
  2. That is so cool, I always wanted a "natural" shaft. Do you know whose pattern you got? Of course I do.
  3. How about this one? Lady calls me looking for a particular skate. A size 5 mind you...I tell her to bring her son in to be fitted...husband comes in and all he's talking about is Perani's and how some girl fitted her kid for a 5 XXX and a 5.5 RBK...(yes, exactly ) I tell him he needs a 4 RBK and a 4.5 XXX...offer to drive 20 minutes away to pick up the skate because they need it by 4:30 the next day, he says okay...I go and get it and call them...went back to Perani's and got the 4.5 from them...how about them apples?
  4. Doesn't your husband read MSH? You might want to remove the part about hooking up with someone. ;) maybe he wont read this thread :D Michelle....You got some 'splanin to do... <_< Now we just need Mich to go "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"
  5. You guys don't pay attention...the Ion doesn't fade to black...that's why I said "Ion." The shaft in the middle...is a stripped Metamorphic that was made after the stick was off the market. It has the same wrap as the current Mission sticks, not the dark green. It has measurements written on it as well as Metamorphic in Sharpie ink. As far as the blades are concerned, they matched my pattern to the pro database and came pretty damn close :)
  6. Mission Intake Metamorphic Flyweights with new VDS blades Mission "Ion" standard shaft Easton Stealth CNT 85 Forsberg
  7. JR did you get a grip or non grip? When my friends and I went to the LHS, we coveted the CNT stealths, well the intermediate ones. Definetly a great looking stick. One kid on my team ended up buying one. The stick said it was a Forsberg pattern, but it looked more like a Lindros. I'm glad I didn't buy it, I hate Lindros patterns and love Forsberg/Modo's. Non-grip.
  8. One thing about Easton - they sure make a pretty stick. Got a Stealth CNT today and they sure don't skimp out on the aestetics.
  9. Hey, my feet literally look like Flintstone feet. They're square!
  10. No, you're getting blasted because you're acting like an impatient brat. Everyone knows that there's no skates to try on! Everyone just asked what their ONE90 size would be compared to another boot. You're the one talking about going to a store this instant and setting up an order. As far as thinking they're going to be sold out, relax. Don't expect people camping overnight for these. Your store will have plenty. Not everyone has $550 to drop on skates.
  11. But I have been fitting skates for years. It is what I do for a living.
  12. First off, as I have stated, nobody will get the skate until June, so why are you worried about it now? Regardless if you pre-order or wait, you're going to get them in June anyway. Now...have you ever thought about that maybe the skate won't even fit you right? So, that is why you should wait until the store has it, then go in and try them on. Anything that you do right now isn't really helping.
  13. If you have them fit you and you go somewhere else, then it is. If you go in there and ask them if they can reserve you a pair and they say no, yet you allow them to fit you, then it is. If you buy it from the Internet, who's gonna sharpen and bake them? It'll cost you more, and you won't be saving any.
  14. Now, why are you going to do that? Don't you think that's a little bit unethical? Using someone local to measure then buying online? And every store is getting their skates at the same time anyway...I believe you've wasted my time finding you a store.
  15. But...they won't be able to get you the skate anyway. So I suggest you wait a couple of months.
  16. Um...there's a little more to it than that. There are four areas of the foot that have to be measured with a tape. Okay, you're in MD. Go to For Sports in Laurel. They are a First Line Dealer. But here's the thing. They won't make you the skate right now. So, I suggest you wait until the skate comes out, try it on, then go from there.
  17. Yep, he's been in it for about a month and a half. So much for the whole "custom" mold.
  18. Looks like Mike Grier's in them. God knows how ugly his Quests were...he wore those for years and years... http://images2.sportsline.com/u/gettyimage...01_1024x768.jpg
  19. I strongly suggest you go and get measured by a store. Usually they'll bring in the sales rep to do it for you. It'd be more precise than doing it yourself if you don't know how to do it.
  20. 1) Did you bake? 2) Because Ignites were sized differently. To get custom skates you would have to go to a NBH dealer...easier if they are a First Line Dealer.
  21. 10.5 EE. Chris can answer your other question better than I can.
