I cannot stand some of the people I sell to. Note to the wise: When you invite someone into your home, the easiest way to guarantee to get the best price and best features is to BE NICE. It absolutely amazes me how many times I go into someones home after they called me, and they treat me like they have no interest in me being there or, even worse, bitch at me about hurrying up or doing something illegal to get them more rebate money from the government. Let me tell you something, there is a little thing we use out there called the "Asshole Surcharge" so don't get upset at me when I jack up your price $500 because you are a total dick. If you're going to be like that while I'm in your home, I can just imagine how you're going to be to us when you forget to do your required preventative maintenance (that we mail you reminders for, by the way) and then we have to charge you $99 to come out and pull out a 75 cent filter you bought from Wal-Mart.

2010 Bauer Holiday Catalogue
Bravada 442 replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in 2010 Product Catalogue Reviews
What is the reason for having certain curves available in Canada and not the US? I thought that I saw somewhere on the catalog that the P10 on maybe the One100 or something else that was available for booking in Canada only. -
My first thought on that story was he was buying your stuff to make sure it fit, then trying to get it online for a cheaper price. You said you made some $$ on the refunds, you don't give full refunds or do you charge a restock fee or something?

My custom TotalONE's are in and they should be in my hands on Wednesday! B)

The talent out of Texas and Florida is very similar. The top three HS Football states are Florida, Texas, and California. The next couple are Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and then pretty much everyone else.

While I'm not a big fan of Steigerwald or Errey, I love Mike Lange. Comparing him to Cope is difficult because you comparing Play by Play to Color. Two different job descriptions there. Whether you like them or not, I find it tough to believe anyone can be thought of as worse or more "Homer-ish" than Jack Edwards for the Bruins. He is unbelievably bad.

I hate losing, especially to a team that hasn't won a game yet this season. We beat them earlier 10-4 and I'm on a low level roller team with a bunch of guys (all except me, my buddy, and the goalie) that haven't played competitive puck before (only messed around on the streets). I'm trying to teach these guys and have fun, but its awful hard in situations when guys think were going to walk all over a team. We're not good enough to do that. We walk in, and everyone is talking about when the next game is when we win and how dumb the goalie looks and all this jazz. You can guess, we lose 4-3. Unbelievable. I hate things like this. On another note, this team brings 3 kids that haven't played the alloted games to be allowed in the playoffs, we call them on it, and the only make one kid not able to play, but the other two are. They score 3 of their 4 goals. Even though we totally deserved to lose because nobody outside of the three experienced hockey players tried, its still frustrating to play against guys that shouldn't of been there.

I'm in Sales. I understand that people always think there is some wiggle room and I'm just not that sort of salesman. I tell people that straight up. But when I email a customer and tell him a price is $4500 for product Z, and then he calls me later and asks about a different product (M) and I give him a price of $2500, don't email me later in the night and say you just wanted to double check and make sure that that product Z is quoted at $2500 and you're ready for the item to be delivered at my earliest convenience. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU COPY THE ORIGINAL EMAIL I SENT TO YOU SAYING HOW MUCH PRODUCT Z ORIGINALLY WAS. God I hate people sometimes.

Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion
Bravada 442 replied to cougarscaptain87's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
8.5 size. And yes, it is an A6. Those wheels have always been very close together. I'm not sure if I'll really benefit from going to an A7 or not when they come out.- 2845 replies

Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion
Bravada 442 replied to cougarscaptain87's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
Yeah the mount looks just slightly back on that picture but it is taken at a slight angle. I just skated on them around my office on the tile floor and they feel outstanding. Yep, used regular old t-nuts. I used every mounting whole available on the Sprungs, even the one directly in the back. Figured the more rigid, the better. Now I just need 4 more black rink rats to match and everything will be clutch.- 2845 replies

Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion
Bravada 442 replied to cougarscaptain87's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
Here is a recent conversion for me. Keith originally mounted a pair of Sprungs on a pair of Vapor IX's that worked wonderfully but were unfortunately a low end skate that just broke down over time with me playing 2 to 3 times a week. I found a great deal at a LHS and picked up a pair of White RBK 9k's for under $250 brand new and decided it would be time to mount up my Sprungs to it. Spent the last 3 days (about 6 hours total) doing measurements and attaching the Sprungs the same way they had been on the Vapors and this is how they've come out.- 2845 replies

Excellent. Mind if I ask what you paid plus shipping? Edit - Nevermind you said Easton's.

Oh my gentle Jesus, exactly what I've been looking for. Gotta call them up and get those white and royal blue 4 rolls. Great link! Edit - If I call and order them, does anyone think they will ship?

NBH Vapor XXV skate Reviewer background: 6'0", 180 lbs, 9D, Defenseman/Centre(only if we are loaded up with D guys), on ice 2 times a week, intermediate experience (only been on ice for about 4 years) Fit: Nice, smooth fit. Had an experienced LHS fit me here in Western PA and got me into the 9D which is the perfect size and allows me to ever so gently feather the top cap. Stiff boot with a fantastic feel. I'm a much bigger fan of these than the Supreme's that I came over from. 9/10 Blade/Holder: I like the longer glide that LS2 gives me over the previous Tuuk that I had on the supremes. I prefer a long stride (I have very long legs for my height) and these provide the stability I'm looking for in terms of my stride. My turns seem to be tighter and I've taken a couple of big slappers off the holder without any damage visable, no nicks, just a very slight black mark. My other skates (CCM Tacks and Supremes) usually would have nice large nicks in them in short order. 9/10 Weight/Protection: I'm amazed at how light these are. I did not try on the XXXX because of the price tag, but a friend has them and I really can't tell any noticeable difference holding the two different skates. I'm impressed with the protection, especially low on the skate. More protective I feel than my other skates. Tendon guard is very protective, ankle and forefoot protection is more than adequate. 8.5/10 Durability: They feel like they are not going to break down no matter what I do to them. The tendon guard has a little bit of a rub hole in it but I blame that on myself instead of on the skates because I am very very heavy on my right foot in terms of stops and starts. I've been in these for about 4 months and expect to have them easily for another year to 18 months without problems. 9/10 Intangibles: I love the look of the skates. Doesn't make any difference in how they perform, but I like the black/red/silver coloring and really allows them to standout. Also, had them baked and pressure fitted and there was really no break in period at all. They were just as comfortable as my previous skates the first time I skated in them, and they have gotten to the point now where I almost hate to stop skating once the game is over. 8.5/10 Conclusion: NBH has done an outstanding job in offering a skate that is nearly on par with their top line skate for a price that is significantly cheaper. This skate is something that I hope they continue to produce in the future without many changes because I can't imagine finding a skate that fits my personal needs more than this. I tried on a number of skate before selecting this (RBK7K, Supreme70, CCM Vector 8.0) and this was the best fit and best quality of those choices. I couldn't be happier. FINAL: 8.75/10

Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion
Bravada 442 replied to cougarscaptain87's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
Here are my most recent investment. Vapor IX with the Sprung setup. So far 2 games in I'm absolutely in love. Quick turning, great acceleration, and just as much if not more speed as before. Very happy with them.- 2845 replies
