Supreme vs Vapor - Skating Technique?
walkerdb7 replied to walkerdb7's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Isn't the point of Fit 2 mean they should fit the same? I figured the difference in tendon guard, tongues, eyelits, etc would translate to some different feeling or flex on the ice? -
SUPREME MACH is designed to boost your stride length and maximize your top end speed HYPERLITE 2 skate is built for pro-level and pro-aspiring players looking for maximum quickness and unrivaled agility WTF does this mean? I am a fit 2. Eyeing up purchasing that "last pair" pair mentality. Normally play goalie, but coaching my son and on the ice a lot more. Skating out a bit more and might not play net for too much longer. Current skates are the OG One100s. How the heck do I know which boot design works my skating style? haha. Can I get a golf fitting for skates?
-
it does not happen to me too often, but agreed, I feel like I can avoid it all together
-
Thanks! Sometimes they fold in and 1/2 the marketing photos online show them in the wrong position. Wanted to double check. About to try and shape / mold them a bit so they don't fold into the elbow cap anymore
-
Are Vapors like normal elbow pads where the elbow flexes under the forearm pad or is it a unique design and the forearm rotates into the elbow?
-
and I was missing the gold mine IW website has unavailably deep written break downs of the different models and what is where and how they're different.
-
That's sort of what I thought, but wanted to double check. Saw an IW video of the US and 3S Pro. It said "close to the body fit" and had a Bauer marketing graphic. The fit explanation made me want to double check.

Still literally rocking Jofa branded knee, elbow, and shin pads. They're in rough shape, I know they probably still have a colt following, haha Long story short, I forgot a shin pad last night. Hit up the lost and found and got lucky with some Supreme MX3 shins that were only 2" too small, haha Was blown away how better the integrated strapping feels, the Jofas have none, and how light I felt on the ice. Inspired me to upgrade. two quick questions, can't really find these answers looking online... 1. Is Vapor or Supreme protective lighter? 2. Is Vapor or Supreme protective lower profile / less bulky?

Decided a P92 was the way to go. Drurys are impossible to get. I got a 2016 Nexus Team model. I have to imagine it's a solid upgrade to what I had but not the sexiest? I was looking for a prostock 2N, but couldn't mind my specs
-
holy shit! P91a RH is literally non existent. Checked Pure, Monkey, HSM, etc etc
-
@Buzz_LightBeer Thanks - Will look for something Nexus. I tried the curve database and I don't see anything perfectly match up to a Drury. Is PA91a correct in Bauer speak?
-
@Buzz_LightBeer thanks for replay found this old explanation - Says it’s a low kick point - what stick does that translate too? why do you say to stay away from the high end sticks? QUICK PASS. QUICK SHOT. QUICK HANDS. MAKO Model Year: 2012 Heritage: New for 2012 Level of Player: Ideal for the advanced to pro level player Construction: Fused one-piece Shaft Dimensions: Rounded corners/Straight sidewalls Flex Point: Low kick Weight: 462 grams (based on 85, Hall curve)

I am mostly a goalie. I do coach and play out from time to time. My OG Easton Mako pro is about to die. As sticks last for me, would like to replace it with a current high end stick. What's the closet thing to a Mako in 2021 speak? If every brand offers something in that spirit, I would prefer a Bauer I guess

Anyone know if U of WI does sales? I'd love a pair of their pants

Any feedback on goalies wearing these?

Any updates?

I've only got one. MEGA AIR 90 -
Thanks, I'd be curious to know if the Reactor and Supreme are the same fit for the skates of if it's like a Vapor and Supreme in the player's line

They are the NBH Classics. I barely notice I am wearing shouldies. I tried on the Sher-wood classics and I would say the NBH have more range of motion, are less noticable to wear, and have better protection. DR. Hook - Thanks. than it was a good choice & i am pretty pleased with it
