  1. I have heard of Cozzis but that's a little far for me, but then again so is farmingdale. After a couple hours I put them back on and putted around my house. Have to say they feel awesome. The right foot needs to break in a little more but so far so good.
  2. So you know, this was hockey underground in Farmingdale. Figure i'd let you know since I thought I read you played at skate safe which is right down the road. Not bad people just seemed uneducated about certain things. Still yet to find a knowledgeable hockey shop on the island.
  3. During the bake, is there anyway to mess these skates up. The guy that is doing them for me is fairly incompetent. Gave me a look when I told him to take the footbeds out, told me not to stand and has been on his phone ignoring me for some time now. I just wanna make sure these things aren't screwed
  4. When baking the skate do you recommend putting in the stock insoles or if you'll be using different ones use those. I ask because I feel like if you put in the narrow stock ones, it will conform better to your foot as opposed to the wider ones I have been using if that makes sense.
  5. Alright good because other then that one thing, these states are perfect. Also they a drop dead sexy imo
  6. I just got my Shift skates in the mail two days ago. I have only been able to push around my house because technically they are a Christmas gift from my parentsit, but I have noticed that they feel a little loose towards the bottom three eyelets. length and width are perfect but basically where the plastic insert in the tongue ends, it feels like their maybe too much volume. Is this normal or will it go away when I bake them and get more wrap. It doesn't necessarily feel bad but i've just never experienced that feeling.
  7. Well part of it can be the fit. I believe the real reason for it is an ice boot generally is constructed better. Lighter and stiffer. Plus you pick your components.
  8. Well I have the same style foot as you, plus mine are flat. Normally I wouldn't do what I said but it seems like the alkali skates can mold just about to anything. I mean my selection is quite limited in roller hockey. Reebok quality is poor from my understanding and Tour all I ever hear is they go soft and padding just vanishes. Im looking for a relatively stiff boot too so all that leaves me with is the current gen missions and alkali (if they fit).
  9. Idk I have always attributed my bad skating to the fact that the first time I ever skated I was 15(now 21 and wow I didn't realise ive been skating that long.) I could have sworn back then I was hearing mission skate were true to size or something of the sort. But this would explain a lot of things like the constant blistering on my heel and the haglunds that I developed lol. I was shooting to try on the CA9 RPD tomorrow and they have them in a 9 so hopefully they feel good. I just feel like when I try them on they wont be comfortable until they are baked. Should I just worry about length and trust that width and everything else will just mold after a bake?
  10. so i just tested this and from the back of the boot I can fit a about two pencils between my heel and the skate with my toe brushing the toe cap. Does that mean i am two sizes too big? I feel like i would never fit into an 8.5. Granted I will be trying them on tomorrow, I just want to get an idea because last time I got skates I got the 10.5s because I thought thats how they were supposed to fit and because I figured since I have wider feet I figured they will be wider as well. P.S How are they volume wise? my foot is basically wide and tall.
  11. How does pencil test work again? You slide you foot to the front of the boot and you should only have a pencils width of space between the heel and the boot?
  12. Was the pre Bauer mission sizing true to size. So a 10.5 dress shoe was about the same in the mission or a have I been on the wrong size skate for the past 4 years?
  13. Edit: Scratch that just realized I got an answer long time ago
  14. Thinking about getting a pair of EQ50's to convert to roller. Anyone know how they fit. Also im anybody know a place in Long Island that does good conversion
  15. Wow didn't even know of half those place. Thanks
  16. What is your sizing like in terms of volume and width. I fit well in a 10.5 EE mission lieutenant. Would I fit well in a 10.5 alkali skate? P.S Do you know of any dealers of alkali in Long Island?
  17. What do you guys think of a 2001 chevy malibu with 97,000 miles for $2,500. ive heard good and bad about these cars but idk what to believe so any advice would be good
  18. Anyone else agree that scrambler actually works against you. Its easy to find people when they have scrambler. You get near them, screen gets fuzzy, whip out the shotguns and done. GT:crispy1392 add me edit: just played a game a someone "speedhacked" the game. It was basically like having no gravity with lightweight and marathon pro x100. it was insane
  19. Hey Kabarov, how do like the 5K roller skates. Looking into getting them but hear the chassis is terrible
