At this point its a lot of mud throwing. So until facts and names are released and confirmed, meh. -

Ovechkin joined gretzky and Bossy as the only players to hit 50+ goals in 4 of their first 5 season. And over the 5 seasons he's averaged over 50. Good company. -
Not a Ranger or Flyer fan, but I can not wait for this game tonight. Me and some buddies are getting some wings and beer for whats probably going to be a game 7 like game. A loss for the Rangers in reg. means Flyers Bruins and Mont are in. A win for the Rangers means that the rematch at Wachovia is a 'win and in' game. I love this time of year.

Fleury has been sloppyyyyy. And a game or 2 for Poni's hit on Bailey. Seems to fall exactly within the wording of the new rule.

Only spots 1-5 have a chance at the 1st pick. So if your 4th and the 7th place team wins the lotto, they move to 3 bumping the 4th place team to the 5th pick. From a Pens fan perspective, did the refs miss as many calls on the Caps as they did on the Pens?
-
Did he have some kind of injury early on in the season?
-
Yea.... Id rather not have Thomas on the Caps. Id take Theo/Varly over Thomas at this point. Then again, he could just be having a bad year and be amazing next year. But either way, I don't think Theo has played poorly at all this season. I think hes the starter for the playoffs.

Do the announcers know that they were doing a National broadcast? I can understand them being homers when its a local thing, every teams announcers are to some extent. But in the third peroid the ONLY thing I heard is how Tampa is playing a trap. There's no room for the penguins, look at the trap, all these white jerseys, trap, trap, trap. I put it on mute because I couldn't stand it. Tampa is up 2-0 against the defending Cup champs, what do you expect them to do? Have three forcheckers??? jeeze. Sorry for the rant, but I couldn't stand that guy.

What are you talking about? lol

Didn't Malkin have issues with his foot in the past?

Its hard to come out with some fire when you've all but clinched the top spot in the east. The players realize this is a chance to catch a quick breath before ramping it up for the playoffs. I expect them to use some of their games to work on issues, and then the last 3 or 4 really start to kick it in gear. -
Wow. Did anyone ever expect to hear a sentence like that? lol But I agree he is looking too hard to set up guys. Take a quick look, if nothing, let it rip. Truth. They cast a pretty large shadow. I wonder how the OV/Crosby era will compare to others when all is said and done.

A Cam Fowler would help out.\

Until i see a report saying CURRENT players are involved.... meh. -
Wow. This is a blow for Philly. E is right, I can't see this team making the playoffs now. Its funny, I looked at the standings just yesterday, and I thought the teams 1-8 would all be in the playoffs. But with this injury, I think Philly falls out and now that last spot is WIDE open. This could be a good thing though. It could show management they need to get serious about the netminding issues. This is a good off-season to do it as a lot of tenders will be looking for new homes.
-
I wouldn't be worried if I were a Pens fan. Though I would be if you end up matched against each other in the playoffs.

Soo are the Capitals better without Ovechkin? -
Is there a more beautiful sound in all of hockey than hearing that ping off the iron for a goal? Stamkos had one just like that against Ottawa. I could listen to that all day.
-
Jerk... lol Midterms drained a lot out of me.
-
The league was in a loose loose situation. They effed themselves when they failed to suspend Richards. They were now faced with being hyppocritical, or not suspending a player they clearly should have. As much as I wanted Cooke to be penalized, maybe this is a sign of more consistant calls from Colin. He used to say each play was mutually exclusive.
-
Point is, they still don't have the goaltending. Sure they have Richards Carter Briere and JVR as they're core but Im not quite sold on Carter being reliable for 40 goals every season. I think that Vokoun is more special than you seem to think. Hes tied with the best goaltender of all time for Shutouts if you didnt know. Put him on a contender and you got yourself a team. Carter + for Vokoun, I say no. But Carter for Vokoun straight up, Philly should have pulled the trigger. They have more then enough options on offence, and a last resort in Net.

No, believe it or not he plays Defense. -
hmm.. Well the only way i see Philly finding a good tender is to really mess with the current roster. Given Pronger's Olympic preformance, that deal looks worse and worse.
