You mean your first of many. My dad (who's 70, retired, and still playing twice a week) won 40k on Powerball. He can use it for sure. I tried to talk him out of it, but he sent our family a 2k. I tried to talk him of of it, but he wouldn't have it. I finally caved and agreed that it would be a nice start for our kids' college funds. Nice to see a little karma come back his way.

Sorry, man...Hope you're back at it soon. I'm in the same boat. I just got rear-ended by some idiot and am on hold with insurance people. If concussion symptoms come on, I may be done playing for good. Pretty nervous. Edit - Turns out this kills my shot at going to Summer Jam. If you text while you drive, please stop (there's no way this accident would have happened if the jerk was paying attention). You could really hurt or kill someone.

I finally found a pair of Pro Tacks that were in great shape, and in my size (8.5E). They arrived today, in wonderful shape, but in a C width that is way too narrow for me. I don't think that the seller did it on purpose. I had been after a pair of these on ebay for like 3-4 years.

After a few years of searching/trying I just won a pair of like new Pro Tacks on ebay....I explained to my wife why I "needed" these skates. She told me to go for it. Life is very good!

At least it wasn't made outta XN10, no longer produced and in wicked shape, right?!

Double whammy last night. My Montero broke down last night. It's junkyard-bound. The real pisser...I was on the way to the rink for my beer league season opener when the timing belt broke. No vehicle to get to game 2 tomorrow night, either.

After about 3 months off, the ice is finally back in today. I've also been waiting all this time to try out the TPS R9 and TPS R8XN10 shafts that I found over the summer.

Plenty of faith. I'm thinking you'll want to take shots at the A/C it after a while.

If you haven't mentioned it to her already, you could encourage her to get treatment.

Hope you're getting through okay. Our family had to put down our Border Collie/Australian Sheepdog/Doberman mix earlier this summer (so your post gave me a pretty good "tinge" of sadness). It was awful, but it gradually gets less hard. It gets easier to think of the happy memories without getting as sad. Stay busy, but grieve as you need to - you've lost a family member. Hang in there and hit the ice/rink if you can!

The National Health Service Corps just approved me for another year's loan repayment. They're paying off the last of my student loans (almost 30k) for me to stay with my current employer for one more year. I also think that I've finally accumulated enough XN10 to last me until the end of my beer league career.

Sorry to hear about your guys' losses. I haven't met many people that live with as much joy or give as much unconditional love as a most dogs do.
