  1. 1) Nike Quest 1s (recently got hold of an unused pair love them 2) easton Mako 3) nike accel elites in white Been trying for years to get a good condition set if CCM 652/752s with the yellow/black stitching :-(
  2. Nice one - how did they fix them (other than give you a new pair?) PS - I'll reply to your PM when I get home mate!
  3. Yep, based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Shoot me a PM on here and we can sort something out - play mostly roller with Edinburgh University team. Now wondering which LHS you used...!
  4. Give em hell. I'd be wanting a replacement boot and the frame removed from that boot too by them. Then take it to a better LHS if you can, and speak to them about shims etc. The boot has seperated as it's being put under so much strain to conform to the shape of the chassis. I can't believe they let you take that skate home never mind do both of them. Good luck...and go mental lol
  5. epoxy it, or use some kind of super glue and squeeze some in there (take the insoles out) - basically anything strong enough to plug that gap and add strength. Make sure you clean it up ie the excess before it dries. Other than that, I dunno what else you could do. When they have fixed the chassis on, it looks like theyve had to bend the sole to affix it. Its under way too much pressure from the conversion, I'd be raging. They should have used a shim at the rear of the boot to relieve the pressure.
  6. Can you post a picture - you sau unworn..do you mean they've never been used and the seperation occurred whilst getting them converted?
  7. chassis mount looks ok. Its probably just an optical thing - how'd the feel when you skate - thats what matters most :) Did you have to dremmel the sole to accomodate the all 80's?
  8. Same - all I use eBay for is buying lots of gear! Got that much gear that 4 of my team mates are using sticks, goves, skates and helmets that belong to me lol. I'd quite like to eventually get access to that forum, and give forum members my cash rather than random ebayers. reminds me...I must look into how access is granted.
  9. Sound rather sweet - look forward to the pics. Where'd you source the mag frame? I got a white mag Boss Black frame a while back via Ebay USA (im in UK) - havent seen any for sale since, just the alu vanguards. Been trying to get a couple more mag frames but zero success.
  10. Converted a pair of Nike One90's myself last week - had the choice between a white Mission mag (from Boss Blacks) or use an older Alu frame. Epoxy'd the sole too for added strength in the middle area and filled all the vent holes in under there, Went with the Alu frame as it was smaller. However...the boot is smaller than most of my other conversions so the chassis was a shade too long, although it skates rather well which was surprising! Only downside to this boot is the lack of side buffers, played a game 2 days ago and scuffed them a little on the side panels. Dont want the garish skate protector things, they look horrendous...but if anyone has any other ideas...? Was thinking of making small square buffers by using epoxy.
  11. Totally - it's what you feel will work for you as an individual...everyone's different :)
