Being considered for a promotion at my workplace at the end of my 1st year due to my work ethic. Couple issues I don't want to put in the venting spot, but those issues(see: Jerk-ish coworkers) are putting this promotion in limbo.

Returning to the ice after the graduation mayhem in may and june. I had approximately 50 pages in papers to write between May 1st and 26th and then had finals the 27th and 31st. June, I've worked all summer long and graduated on the 10th. It's been a busy 2 months and I'm looking forward to starting my summer workout and hope to play for my college sometime in these next 4 years.

I start work today, albeit that I don't have my nametag because my supervisor misplaced it. :/

On the Franchise glove, can you order a 15" 5 roll versus the extended 4-roll? I'm not sure i'm using the correct terminology, but you folks know a ton about gloves. -
At least you guys have had work experience to get a decent job. This economy has rendered me to making like $10 per week as a paper carrier and it's terrible when your customers don't have the common freakin' courtesy to pay you once a month! It's not like they aren't home, skip a week, etc... they do it EVERY FREAKIN TIME. Finally glad i'm turning in the 2 weeks notice.

Got a call from my assistant coach last night. Turns out I've been promoted to the varsity roster from JV based on my Leadership skills and efforts in practice. EDIT: Won 3-1, and almost set a kid up for a hat trick. (He finished with 2 goals on the night). It was a crazy experience to play in the arena Slap Shot was filmed in too.

Not sure whether this is a sweet spot in 3 months or not. College Audition music for sax: I must be in the top 4(perhaps 5) out of 20. H. Couf's Introduction, Dance and Furioso. Got Introduction down, playing it well, memorized somewhat well in 3 days. Dance or Furioso(I have a choice)... they're killing me.

And I was correct in my Sweet Spot post. Car decided to take a dump on me and blow power steering fluid EVERYWHERE. So much for everything being peachy this week. :p

2 Sweet spots in a week? Man, this may bring some bad news later on. Made my school's JV hockey team as a "1st Year Senior". I'm also permitted to dress at home varsity games as an injury sub and on senior night, i'm being recognized as a senior. :)

Got accepted to my 1A school( I was thinking about 2 schools, and they were 1A and 1B). IUP(Indiana U of PA) may be receiving my currency come the end of october if everything goes well. :)

After taking some hard hits that ended up ringing my ears in an Itech H95, I decided to give this helmet a try because it appeared functional, stylish, and extremely protective. Price Paid: $64.95+ Shipping, Hockey Giant Fit I previously wore a H95 in size Large. I am currently in a Large with this helmet as well. This helmet sits a bit lower than the H95 did, however the fit is not for everyone. I have just a small amount of head being uncomfortably pushed on, but a skull cap fixes that issue. The pressure from the helmet located at on top of my head, and front to back, it is at about the ear on both the left and right sides. 8.5/10 Protection The protection in this helmet is fantastic. It is considered a Tri-Density helmet. It has soft VN for comfort, medium VN for protection, and Bauer's HX-Sorb VN for impact absorption. My first ice time with this helmet, I tripped myself up on a crossover and went temple-first into the boards. I got up and had no ill effects. I finished my shift and when I came to the bench, I saw a few scratches on the side of the helmet that hit the boards. This helmet is truly doing its job of protecting the user. 10/10 Weight This helmet feels lighter than my H95, and is most noticable when the RBE VIII cage is attached. Weight is not as light as say the S19 or 9500/9900, but for playing in a HS league, works extremely well. 9.5/10 Ventilation The ventilation in this helmet is great compared to my Itech, however one major gripe here. I tend to sweat a lot, and even though it vents well, large amounts of sweat still end up in my eyes. 7/10 Durability This helmet has held up well, and has no defects through 8 months of solid use. I skate once or twice a week from March-November and 5-7 times a week December-February. 10/10 Intangibles This helmet has survived 3 head-first hits into the boards and is still going strong. This helmet is the best of both worlds. Although you do not have the occupital lock that the 9500/9900 has, it shares the shell and style of the higher-level helmet. This helmet really seems to accept cages well, and even though I have a L helmet, I wear a S cage and it fits perfectly. 9/10 Conclusion This helmet is a helmet that provides excellent medium-high level protection and creates a feeling of safety every single time I strap the helmet to my head. I would recommend this helmet to anyone mostly due to the price-point and styling. This helmet easily defeats the other helmets in its price range, and I have even played in net with this helmet. Was it better than the goal mask the rink had to borrow? Yes. This helmet should really make you feel safe every time you strap it on. Total Score: 54/60, or 9/10 overall.

My mom's best friend(who is so close to our family she's like an aunt, so she'll be referred to as Aunt Kim) got Jim Rooker to send a video greeting to my mother(who is a HUGE fan and couldn't attend the baseball game he was at due to her attending a concert 2 hours away). Then, the aunt won breakfast with Rooker. She calls my mom and says wanna go to Breakfast with rooker? My mom explains that she's in hershey and really can't do that... and the aunt shows up at 1:30 and takes her to breakfast. She finally got to meet her hero and she was geeking out when I called her this morning :)

It's a shame. The Pittsburgh Area Hockey Community will miss him greatly. He had an impact from State College to Pittsburgh and was pretty much the only respectable pro-shop for central PA.

That's the only thing bugging me, because i'm puffed up so badly. I can chew/swallow fine if I wasn't puffed up.

Forget EVERYTHING I said about wisdom teeth in the Sweet Spot. Day three is EASILY the worst.
-
hey bostonjuniorblackhawks, how ya feeling at about 12am? I woke up in searing pain and i'm now all puffed up. Pain's subsided otherwise.
-
Had my wisdom teeth out yesterday. Managed to stay up until around 8pm, had some real food(mac and cheese), and got my Elmira 4-rolls I've been wanting for a while. Today should belong in the venting spot. I feel AWFUL today. I'm puffed up and the pain relievers aren't really doing it.
-
Ha. We'll be surgery buddies, except my recovery will be a bit quicker. Best of luck with your ACL. I'm having 4 wisdom teeth removed, and it's gonna be horrible because i'm a wind instrumentalist, and have to prepare for a parade.

Today's my birthday! and wednesday, my sister's dance team came home national champions. That oughta bring some recognition to our small town. That having been said, we both got iPods to celebrate. I got the black classic and she got the blue 8g nano.
