  1. I am going to try the skates on on Saturday. I really want to stick with a straight-80 set-up, but am afraid that the forward pitch will be a tough transition from my Tour's.... I have a lot of weight on the front end as it is!!!
  2. Although I have never ordered custom gloves from them, they have been great to deal with on my orders. I have placed 5 or 6 over the past year or so... They have always been great with email/phone. I have heard many have issues with their custom gloves, but always assumed it was due them working with Warrior Canada.
  3. Excited to see the line available for pre-sale. Does anyone else think that the pictures posted appear to show a very aggressive forward pitch? Maybe it's the angle?
  4. Anything custom you want (cuff, palm, etc) you should enter in the notes box AND email Warrior. Send that email as soon as the order is placed with the order number somewhere in the message to them. Make sure you get a confirmation from Warrior about the modifications before your dealer charges your credit card.
  5. Best Luxes I have seen so far! My eyes popped when I saw them on PSHG. Gotta love the number as well!
  6. My experience is usually a week beforehand or dead-on.
  7. I ordered mine through IW. They would call me the following day to get my cc information. Then day after they get the cc info - the order went to processing at Warrior.
  8. In my opinion -yes. PPF fingers are about .25 to .5 of an inch longer than 14" Franchise gloves from my experience.
  9. To my knowledge you can only get the PPF cuff but can add or subtract length in 1/4-inch increments.
  10. To each their own - but I think a baby blue binding would look best! I really like the color scheme though....
  11. Correct. The upper part of the cuff is different as well. The "flap" that has my name stitched on it is very rigid and sits closer to the wrist than the Blooming cuff. This somewhat restricts wrist movement (when attempting to bend your wrist thumb to elbow), but does not effect me with my personal playing style. The main reason I got the Kovalchuck cuff is for the underside. It is much more flexible than any other Warrior cuff option. That is HUGE for me. I am 6'0 and use a 65 inch stick (heel to end). Needless to say - my top wrist is bent pretty hard!
  12. Got my second set of current-spec custom Warriors today (third pair overall). Pretty much replicating the ones I have on page 96 of this topic with a few differences... Here are the specs: -14" Franchise normal (wide) -100% Tufftek -All black with full-roll white lettering/outline logo (compared to white/silver before) -Name embroidered on (they used the more "modern" font this time) -Number emboridered on but in black -White mesh gussets (compared to black) -VA80 with Pro Pack -Digital Palm -Kovalchuk Cuff -Black Assembly Thread Ordered July 7th. Arrived September 12th.
  13. July 7th. Yes - long wait, but Joe told me it was going to be a while. They dedicated July and August to the pro gloves. I am glad he was straight forward with me!
  14. Very nice JSK81. I really dig that thumb logo! Guessing its the Hossa cuff right? PS - just realized my second pair of customs were delivered at home today. A week earlier than anticipated! I will post pics when I get home...
  15. Stopped by the booth at state wars this week.. JC Campagna came up to me to discuss the skates. He said they had a Graf style fit. Hard to narrow it down from there... s The top line skates are rumored to sell around $500. Should be a good deal. I was also impressed with the pants.
  16. Got my second set of custom Warriors today. My first pair had the Hossa cuff and were narrows. I did not like the fit, so I sold them to a memeber on here and ordered these instead. I like very simple color schemes. Here are the specs: -14" Franchise normal (wide) -100% Tufftek -All black with white lettering and silver outline (full cuff roll logo) -Name embroidered on -Black mesh gussets -VA80 with Pro Pack -Digital Palm -Kovalchuk Cuff -Black Assembly Thread Ordered June 3rd. Arrived today. So pleased that I just ordered another set (with White Mesh Gussets this time to tell the difference between the two).
  17. Can't wait. Hopefully that Black Friday planned release date stays as the plan. I don't know if my current skates will last much past October!
  18. I once asked for a 15 inch glove but with 14 inch fingers. He said the could do that, but I never pulled the trigger.
  19. So got the answer to my questions today... I emailed Joe yesterday essentially asking for the following: -15" wide -Hossa cuff -Shorter fingers (use 14" length) The reply Joe gave me was generally that that glove would end up exactly with what I have currently in terms of fit (other than narrow vs. wide). I emailed back for clarification assuming that the only difference between the 14" and 15" Franchise is the finger length and the upper cuff length. The body, side guard, thumb and cuff roll are identical dimensions from what I guess. Joe suggested I look into the Savard cuff instead, but the inside/bottom wrist guard really bothers me on that glove. Can those with the Savard cuff comment on your ability to bend the wrist down? PS/EDIT - Look for some interesting changes on the customizer in May ;)
  20. Something about the thumb shape and wrist guard that leads me to think they are Flites.
  21. Thank you, I like a simple design. The new ones will be even more basic! I agree that the blooming cuff has overall more mobility except in one way - bending the wrist down. That's my problem. I use really long sticks and my top wrist is bent down a lot. When I tried on standard Franchise 2.0's, I could not bend my wrist down comfortably. Joe suggested the Hossa cuff and it works wonders.
  22. Yup, its a never ending road isn't it! I don't mind the pair I have right now at all, but its always nice to have two pairs. I'm, thinking of going all black this time too (just white logo).
  23. So I am thinking about going down the Warrior road again for the second time... I currently have 14" Narrow's with Hossa cuff and find them a little too short for me. Has anyone/does anyone know if Warrior does custom finger lengths? I was thinking of getting 15" wides but with 14" fingers and the Hossa cuff... Figured I would ask here before bothering Joe/Warrior. When I was doing test fits of the retail glove I found that the standard 14" with the blooming cuff was the proper length for me, but the Hossa cuff really chops a lot of cuff off. I need the Hossa cuff for wrist mobility though (the bottom wrist guard).
  24. IW was a couple of bucks cheaper for me when I got into the Hossa cuff. Without that, PSHG would have been cheaper... As it stood, they would have been $312.00 through PSHG and IW charged me $310.00 even I think... And I got to work with Joe at Warrior USA.
