  1. Love 'em! I have two pairs in the same color style... EDIT - oops, forgot we can't have questions in this thread...
  2. I would suggest IW. If you are an IWin member, you still get 10% off. The get shipped directly from Warrior in Montreal even when you order through IW. I have ordered 3 pairs from IW and it has gone great each time. I always email my special instructions direct to Joe @ Warrior though.
  3. I am going to try the skates on on Saturday. I really want to stick with a straight-80 set-up, but am afraid that the forward pitch will be a tough transition from my Tour's.... I have a lot of weight on the front end as it is!!!
  4. Although I have never ordered custom gloves from them, they have been great to deal with on my orders. I have placed 5 or 6 over the past year or so... They have always been great with email/phone. I have heard many have issues with their custom gloves, but always assumed it was due them working with Warrior Canada.
  5. Excited to see the line available for pre-sale. Does anyone else think that the pictures posted appear to show a very aggressive forward pitch? Maybe it's the angle?
  6. Anything custom you want (cuff, palm, etc) you should enter in the notes box AND email Warrior. Send that email as soon as the order is placed with the order number somewhere in the message to them. Make sure you get a confirmation from Warrior about the modifications before your dealer charges your credit card.
  7. Best Luxes I have seen so far! My eyes popped when I saw them on PSHG. Gotta love the number as well!
  8. My experience is usually a week beforehand or dead-on.
  9. I ordered mine through IW. They would call me the following day to get my cc information. Then day after they get the cc info - the order went to processing at Warrior.
  10. I was undef the impression the Smyth was going to be like a Kovy Pro. I owned a few in the past and my Smyrhs feel more mid than my old Kovys. At Warriors defense - pro's tweak patterns from time to time and perhaps the Smyth is based off of one of Kovalchucks patterns before/after the ones I owned? Yes, mine are standard shaft, I originally ordered square but changed my mind later and changed it to traditional. My mistake. IMO the '11 Dolo felt bigger/squarer than the '09's and '10 Dolo's I owned. The traditional shape may be based off the older models and not the '11. It will feel smaller than an S19.
  11. Are you asking about the wait time?? If so, I ordered them with rush processing and it appears it was not recognized as a rush order. I emailed Joe about it and he took care of getting them out right away, apologized for the mistake and gave me a future incentive. If you asking on why I am selling them in the Buy/Sell forum - well mainly mistake of my own. The shaft shape is a little too small/round for my tastes and I bought the pattern rather blind as I have never used a Smyth in the past. It is not as open as I would have hoped. My attempt to sell them is an attempt to get enough to get another batch of customs. If they don't sell I will obviously keep and use them. I am sure I can adapt. I am just spoiled with my current sticks which are pro stocks that I cannot find any more of.
  12. After a little longer wait than wanted (long story), my three sticks arrived today. All same specs: Product Model : Dolomite Product Quantity : 3 Paint Color : Black Decal - Middle : Warrior Black Name & Number Plate : KARP #55 Name & Number Plate Color : White Shaft Finish : Grip Shaft Texture : Smooth Product Size : Senior Shaft Length : 56 Shaft Flex : 120 Hand : Right Handles : Standard Lie : 4 Pattern : Smyth Blade Finish : Shark Skin
  13. In my opinion -yes. PPF fingers are about .25 to .5 of an inch longer than 14" Franchise gloves from my experience.
  14. To my knowledge you can only get the PPF cuff but can add or subtract length in 1/4-inch increments.
  15. To each their own - but I think a baby blue binding would look best! I really like the color scheme though....
  16. Very cool. Kinda wish I could switch to square handles again - but I will live with traditional! Thanks for the info...
  17. Length is long I assume? What is the square handle and super grip like? Any retail sticks to compare too??? I considered both (ended up switching to traditional handles).
  18. Damn! I ordered mine Sept 2nd (although it was the 6th before it was a business day), paid rush and mine is still in production. I check status at least 3-4 times per day!!!
  19. Wow! I stand corrected/amazed. Thanks for the info....
  20. The fused to my knowledge is the 2011 Dolomite DD. I owned two of that stick and loved each. Although it may not be a $200 stick, it is darn close. considering that the options you get - I think it is worth it at the price you are paying. The blade feel of the Retail sticks was perhaps the best of any recent retail stick (equal to the One95 if not better). Mine were very durable as well. The blade did feel like it started to go soft after 50+ games or so, but that could be mental. The grip also peeled slightly after the same use. My '11 DD was my favorite retail stick ever. Thanks for the info. Mind giving specs on each one of those?
  21. Correct. The upper part of the cuff is different as well. The "flap" that has my name stitched on it is very rigid and sits closer to the wrist than the Blooming cuff. This somewhat restricts wrist movement (when attempting to bend your wrist thumb to elbow), but does not effect me with my personal playing style. The main reason I got the Kovalchuck cuff is for the underside. It is much more flexible than any other Warrior cuff option. That is HUGE for me. I am 6'0 and use a 65 inch stick (heel to end). Needless to say - my top wrist is bent pretty hard!
  22. Got my second set of current-spec custom Warriors today (third pair overall). Pretty much replicating the ones I have on page 96 of this topic with a few differences... Here are the specs: -14" Franchise normal (wide) -100% Tufftek -All black with full-roll white lettering/outline logo (compared to white/silver before) -Name embroidered on (they used the more "modern" font this time) -Number emboridered on but in black -White mesh gussets (compared to black) -VA80 with Pro Pack -Digital Palm -Kovalchuk Cuff -Black Assembly Thread Ordered July 7th. Arrived September 12th.
  23. July 7th. Yes - long wait, but Joe told me it was going to be a while. They dedicated July and August to the pro gloves. I am glad he was straight forward with me!
  24. Very nice JSK81. I really dig that thumb logo! Guessing its the Hossa cuff right? PS - just realized my second pair of customs were delivered at home today. A week earlier than anticipated! I will post pics when I get home...
