  1. Just got these in from peaches. Amazing work! The palms feel kind of stiff especially compared to the already broken in gloves.
  2. I understand how important it is to support your local hockey store, but i would gladly save that 5 dollars... 5 dollars is enough for a perfectly good meal. I see nothing wrong with that. I only bought my recent pair of skates online because they didn't stock the ones i wanted at my LHS. I would have otherwise. But you shouldnt't fault people for trying to save a little dough here and there. Just my two cents!

  4. Great JR, thanks! What about the s19 shin pads? Are they hitting the market soon? IW and HM no longer carry s17 shin guards...
  5. Will they be selling the black steel that came on the s17 LE separately?
  6. Be careful when you take the tape off the Dolo, the stickers tend to come off and not look sexy anymore...

  8. Yea i hope so too... They charge two extra dollars because it is a "premium" cut, but it shouldn't take any longer to do certainly not 15 plus minutes longer. Am I losing extra steel length when he sharpens them longer? How does one go about telling a sharpener he is too slow? Or even should i? I just skated on the skates last night at public skate, and i think you guys are right, as i become a better skater i think i want the sharper edges. This is the 8th hour i have skates on these edges and they have felt the same since hour 3. They arent dull enough to really NEED to be sharpened, just would be nice.
  9. Been skating on the 90/75 FBV for a while now and love it. Two question 1. Most people say the sharpening last longer then regular sharpening, but for me i feel like the sharpness feels really sharp for an hour, then kinda in between sharp and dull for 3 hours then after that it needs to be sharpened again or i feel like im a sliding everywhere. For regular sharpenings i felt like the period of between sharp and dull takes a lot longer 6 - 8 hours. Is this just me becoming a better skater and wanting sharper blades or what? Anybody feel FBV requires more frequent sharpening. 2. Accorsing to the blackstone videos sharpening should only take a few passes on each skate. My sharpener takes twenty minutes to do FBV. Should it be taking this long or what, how long does your FBV take?
