New Oakley VR832 Visor

Has anyone tried the new Oakley VR832 visor? It looks pretty sweet. It's the visor that Sidney Crosby is wearing on the RBK website. Do any Vancouver stores carry them?

Cyclone Taylor is your best bet. If they don't have it, I doubt anyone else in Vancouver does.

That's the Jofa one that is now sold under the Oakley name. They are a new model and will eventually get out to retailers.

No, they are not owned by THC/RBK. They signed a distribution deal with Oakley, that's all.

That's the old Jofa Image visor. It infringed on Oakley's patent, they went to court, it was settled and this is the result - distribution of their visors by RBK/THC.

We had a few of the Jofa visors in our shop - when we could get them. Very popular here, and compared well with the Oakley visors which were $20 or so more locally.

Those locations are actual shops, but I think the Lincoln store has closed.

Which aint a bad thing, as I can now buy Oakley visors at a better price, without Oakley minimums.

BTW, the Jofa Image didn't sell that well, most didn't like the 'bubble" look. Strange THC didn't just get an oakley license, like Itech did with the HS22.

I received my Jofa 9000 visor today and got it on my helmet and it seems to be pretty sweet. Compared to my Itech RBE I, it is a dream. Looks like there will be more airflow too. We'll see how it works on the ice during summer league.
